Read Clintoon,
and I am putting on my armor as I type, but
Rum wolf perle feith were part of Clintoon's eval for whether he decided or whatever on missile def.
They wrote a big humungous and pompous report full of illogical paths. Just call it war. "The Rumsfeld Commision Report. For Clintoon!
Therefore, they don't want Army, they want technology run by corp interests. What a mess. But ARDEH says it
Army is coming back to prominanace. Rumsfeldism did not work and I will not say quagmire. Armor off.

Military Industrial Complex? Expensive toys rather than boots on the ground? I wouldn't have believed it, but if force size stays the same with this huge increase in spending then maybe I have to believe it.

Rumsfeld sort of got it right and wrong. He is a former Naval Aviator and corporate CEO. He is sold on technology. His Special Ops concept, wireless Command and Control was validated in Afghanistan and the openning battles in Iraq. Because technology gives the individual the firepower of ten rifleman, does not mean one person can replace a rifle squad. That is where the Sec of Def and his cohorts from private industry got it all wrong. I think the occupation of Iraq is teaching him that the old tenets of warfare (especially Low Intensive Combat) are not totally obsolete. You still need to carry extra spare parts, food, water and ammo just in case things do not work out exactly and you need lots of people to hold ground. I think the Army will transform from heavy forces to light motorized forces which requires less tail (vulnerable to guerilla attacks) and possesses more teeth.
