It was ultimately a disadvantage for the original report to have emanated from the WS. (Not that it would have been embraced by the corrupt media anyway)

To be fair, I think the reason the media has not come out reporting this memo at full force is the fact that the Department of Defense has since declared that the memo is false and, in addition, The Weekly Standard did serious harm to national security by jumping on this leak.

To be quite frank, I find it sort of scumbaggish that the Weekly Standard would compromise national security just to try to prove themselves right. I've since cancelled my subscription.
