Thanksgiving PICS from a Freeper in Iraq

Here are some pics from our Freeper in Iraq that were taken on Thanksgiving. He has asked that I post them so we could all share with them in their Thanksgiving experience.
Never to forget those who paid their all so we could enjoy Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving cakes for the troops were plentiful and very well done.
More cakes, all extremely well adorned and laid out with the Thanksgiving feast.
Troops waiting in line to get inside and enjoy the Thanksgiving meal.
Although not in position to be a part of the President's surprise visit to Baghdad, the word of that visit and the risks the CIC was willing to take to be with the troops apread and was received with respect, appreciation and gratitude. Irrespective of what the press and the opposition may say, the troops recognize the real reasons for that visit and are bouyed up by it.

I hope each and every one of them in Iraq, Afghanistan, and all other military stations have a great holiday.
They have many more supporters than distractors.

You're welcome...the visit by the President was astonishing and very, very pointed...but a lot of troops weren't able to participate in that because they were not in Baghdad and they had their own celebrations and feasts while they took turns watching each others backs.

I suspect their gratitude and rememberance of Thanksgiving will reverberate throughout the region. Remembering WHY they are there, helps them to help others, and to remain strong when they need it the most.

Thanks for posting this Jeff. I wish we'd hear more about how the troops reacted to the visit once the word reached them. There has only been one or two comments the press has given.
