Return, now, to a time long before anyone heard of antiglobalists--a period when hot-eyed protesters went around smashing windows, setting bombs and fighting police, whom the revolutionaries invariably referred to as "pigs." It was in the '60s and '70s that the Weathermen and fellow travelers embarked on their effort to dismantle the government and the entire system, a mission they deemed central to the world revolution they aspired to lead--and one far more exciting than the dull activism of the anti-Vietnam War protests, on which they had cut their teeth.

Sigh! I don't know why we even bother to go through the motions and expense of a trial. No one is ever guilty. No one serves their alloted time or at least very rarely. It is always someone else's fault.

The defense drags out grade school teachers, Sunday school teachers, neighbors, dear old grandmothers and granddads, and a whole host of mind jocks who say its all the fault of society at large.

The victim/victims are given short shift, if the victim/victims are dead, well who cares. Hell, man they're dead so what difference does it make to them if their killers get off with a hand slap.

The terrorist in the UK got 27 years for killing 270 people. He won't serve the whole 27, you can bet on that.

the book about boudin is really worth reading--the author does not fall for the lies and excuses made by the weathermen.
the creepiest part is that 2 of the weathermen leaders--bill ayres and bernardine dohrn--are professors at a university and a law school, and ayres still gloats about his terrorist acts!
