My younges son is there and is with the 101st. he is a medic. I am scared and pissed but don't know what to do. I feel a rage of violence building inside me. I want to go after the Political correct or anyone who slanders our Military. I know now all too well what my parents felt when I did my 3 tours of Vietnam.

I too have a son serving as an Army combat medic in Iraq. He is with the 1st Cav serving with the 82nd. Ryan is my youngest son. I have two other children who served in the Marines and AirForce. My husband and I both served in Korea (Seoul) from 1973-1976. We are also worried for our son. There are so many people who are supporting our son and our military effort over there, especially the Freepers. That is what keeps my sanity as I go about my job and daily business. I trust that we will prevail and that our great military will root out the evil that is in Iraq. As for the PC crowd, they are losing. America understands that this is fight between good and evil and we will win. I love my son as I know you love yours and I am waiting for the day he returns. Godspeed for you and yours.

The problem is war changed after WWII.

We carpet bombed the Germans and nuked the Japs. Berlin was left with 12y/o's to defend it...

We need to KILL a generation of males 13-23y/o's

I know your feelings all too well. I ran the gauntlet of the smelly ones when they morphed from Vietnam war protesters to Anti-Nuke protestors during the Reagan Administration. Same stuff, spitting, calling names, etc.

You and your son are the glue that holds this country together, even though the smelly ones try to tear it apart. Its harder to send your kids off to fight than it is to fight a war yourself, however. I know that feeling too.

Here's to your son. I pray that he is ok, and will finish his tour fine, just like you did a generation before he did. Seems like he comes from good stock.

James,

He is doing what his Dad did before him. I understand your fears, the same your parents had for you.

Take care.

I am so sorry for the pain this has brought you and your family. We are all angry, but it hits so very close for you, the family of our soldiers. Is there anything we can do for the families of our soliders right now? I will not forget these men or their sacrafices.

I wish I could do something about it. Right this very moment ,though my heart is with you and other families like you. I am so sorry that it has to come to this, the deaths of these brave people. I feel so guilty that I am sitting in my home ,while these people fight for my freedom. I hope you can find some peace.
