Here it goes, folks. Regardless of your views on the bill, this ought to be one of the most partisan debates in recent memory, and will be fun to watch.

It seems every time I check for it to appear on the "Activism" section (where these threads normally appear), it always appears in the Front Page News Section. Could you please move it? Thanks.

The Democrats have put Pete Stark in control of their time!
He is calling all Republicans liars. Says Republicans have lied about the Iraq war. Now saying Republicans have a "Messianic" mission to "destroy" Medicare.

That idiot Sander is the brother of Carl the Senator. They have been in politics longer than I have been alive but they haven't had any new thoughts.

Pete Stark just called Nancy Johnson an old woman and that all the other members of the "old woman's league know this is a bad bill." Says all Republicans are criminals for what he says is preference for private sector programs.

This is going to be exciting. Nothing like those all-night Medicare marathons.

John Lewis lying. He's using the "wither on the vine" comment from Gingrich. An old lie from the past brought back.

It's funny, the Dems keep yelling this is the end of Medicare and the Conservatives say it's nothing but a gigantic new government entitlement.

Rep. Richard Neal (D-Mass.) just said it is a privatization of Medicare, and that if it gets through, "They'll come from Social Security next."

I would really hope liberals and conservatives will band together to kill this bill.
Rep. Max Sandlin (D-TX) says the Republicans want to kill seniors with cancer.

I think the Democrats have some good points about what's wrong with this bill. What is the rush, anyway? It doesn't even go into effect until 2006.
To: Republican Wildcat
I oppose the bill but I'd never thought I'd live to see the day when Democrats attacked geezers. :)
