Driver of speeding car killed in crash (ILLEGAL ALIEN SMUGGLER)
The San Diego Union Tribune ^ | November 19, 2003

SAN ONOFRE-The driver of a speeding car was killed yesterday when it crashed into the rear of a truck near the Border Patrol checkpoint on Interstate 5, police said.

The car was wedged under the truck, and the driver died at the scene, the California Highway Patrol said.

Three people in the trunk were hospitalized. Two of them were critically injured and were airlifted from the scene, CHP Officer Joel Arding said.

All three were believed to be undocumented immigrants, Arding said.

The truck was going about 5 mph as it approached the inspection area when it was struck. The driver was not injured.

The crash happened shortly before 1 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-5 and closed two lanes for nearly three hours. Traffic was backed up for seven miles.

Car crashes involving ILLEGAL ALIENS occur quite often here in the San Diego area only usually it's innocents who are killed.

In this case it is my opinion that justice was served.

Air lifted? That must've been one expensive trip.

Yup. Scripps East County, which had one of two emergency rooms in East San Diego County, had to close its doors years ago due to millions lost each year treating ILLEGALS. That closure has overburdened Sharps, the only other ER in the area.

You can bet the airlifting was expensive. You can also bet the ILLEGALS who were lifted won't pay a dime because they can't. That burden is now on the only ER in East County. The question now is...how long until it closes its doors?

"All three were believed to be undocumented immigrants"

No, they had documents. It's that they were not documents that authorized them to be in the US. THEY WERE ILLEGAL MEXICAN CRIMINALS WHO BROKE INTO OUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY SO AS TO CONDUCT CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!

Presidente Fox hates this because I believe he takes a hit on his employee injury account. He could easily stop this sort of thing except that it is so darn profitable.

We need to send the 'trip bill' plus all medical expenses and damages to FOX & Co. in mexico.

Past time for mexico taxpayers to foot the bills for their INVADERS.

They should have been air-lifted back to Mexico to seek treatment there.

I'm not complaining. I, myself, have African/Jamaican and Spanish roots. But my ancestors came here LEGALLY. They sure didn't sneak over the border while putting innocent Americans lives at risk.

Yes, but isn't it our job to feed and provide medical care to these illegal immigrants....at least that's what the liberals keep saying. ;-}

A 30 minute ride in an air ambulance usually costs around $10,000.

I enjoy how you work that into every thread.
I also enjoy how you fail to even try to show proof.

Good job, soldier.

But if it saves the life of just one... Ah nevermind.

I'm really on the fence about illegal immigration. Of course, I'm in Ohio, so I don't experience first hand the problems that California, et. al. have.

But having seen how people live in Mexico, I understand why they would risk their lives to get here.

"I'm really on the fence about illegal immigration. Of course, I'm in Ohio, so I don't experience first hand the problems that California, et. al. have."

So as long as it's only someone else's problem, that's OK? Those people who are experiencing first hand the negative impact of the invasion are law abiding, tax-paying fellow citizens, many of whom have served in uniform to protect our country. These problems California and the southwest experience are spreading all over the country. If you think it doesn't effect you now, it will in the future.

"But having seen how people live in Mexico, I understand why they would risk their lives to get here."

Does that justify them $hitting all over our laws to come here? Is it OK with you that your fellow citizens on the Arizona border spend their weekends cleaning up the tons of garbage left by these invaders? OK that hospitals and emergency rooms in some parts of the country have closed due to the burden of non-paying illegal aliens using the facilities? OK that illegals are using social services meant for and paid for by tax-paying citizens? OK that art, music, etc. programs in the public schools are being cut so there can be more and more ESL education for the children of our illegal guests? I could go on but maybe you should get on the Border Ping list and read more on the subject. If Mexico is so corrupt and living conditions are so bad it is up to the Mexican citizens to change it, not for us to allow them to illegally cross our borders by the millions.

Whoa!! I said I was on the fence, meaning that I can see both sides.

I spent some time in Mexico a couple of years ago, and I saw the way some of the people there live. So I UNDERSTAND why they will risk everything to come here.

Do I think it's right? Nope. My ancestors got here legally. IF there was another place better and I wanted to go, I'd do it legally.

Am I in favor of closing our borders? You betcha. We don't need the drain on our economy or society.

You read me wrong, Ches. I don't think it's right that we have to support illegals, I simply said that I understand why the Mexicans (and others) want to come here.
