I hate to break this to you, but no matter where you stand on this case, false rape allegations are OFTEN used to conceal either 1)some form of sexual contact that was NOT supposed to happen because of a relationship or what have you or 2) to extract oneself from trouble with the parents
Break it to me gently. Give me numbers. What happens more often, rapes or false charges?

I gave you two examples. There are other reasons for false allegations, which was the topic of my post.
If you want to draw me into some discussion of the absolute numbers of rapes vs. false charges, it's pointless.
Apparently, all one needs on this forum is to be accused. Guilt is assumed. Just look at the posts--"Even if she had sex with 10 million guys and tried to commit suicide and was a mental case, she STILL COULD HAVE BEEN RAPED!"
Well, duh. But a man that hasn't shown a history of violent sexual conduct should not be sent to jail on such a witness' testimony, should they?

Actually, it's pretty close to a tie.
False rape charges filed by acquaintances of the perp (as opposed to strangers) are rather high. Furthermore, these complainants have a commonality of being Dx with a personality disorder of the 'lively and dramatic' type.
