God's Word says regarding Jesus, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Act.4:12. What can be plainer than that?
Pres. Bush had his moment to witness to the true God and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent to save mankind. He failed. Very sad. Contrast this to the courage of the girl at Columbine who was faced with a demented killer's question at gunpoint, "Do you believe in Jesus Christ?" That teenager's confession, "Yes, I do, " cost her her life and won her eternal life. Each of us has our moment when we either confess or deny Christ, as Peter had his. I hope Pres. Bush will repent that he chose the easy, man-pleasing answer instead of the courageous, God-pleasing one.

Everything you say is true. I was surprised President Bush answered the way he did. Yes, he did fail to recognize Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life. He was wrong and he should know this.

I feel his answer is not excusable under any circumstance. NONE, whatsoever.
