Police seeking to arrest pop star Jackson: NBC Television

Police and prosecutors who searched Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch amid allegations of child molestation were seeking to arrest the pop icon, NBC Television said.

The television news service cited "many sources" as having seen an arrest warrant for Michael Jackson when authorities swooped down on his ranch near Santa Barbara, California, Tuesday.

The search, apparently for evidence related to allegations of child abuse, continued overnight into Wednesday, NBC said.

Jackson's family lawyer Brian Oxfam confirmed reports that the raid was sparked by new child abuse allegations against the 45-year-old father of three.

Court TV reporter Diane Dimond, who is on the scene, says a source told her that police not only had a search warrant, but an arrest warrant. Dimond told CNN's Larry King that had Jackson been at the ranch, the warrant would have been executed.

Jackson is wanted in connection with multiple claims of molestation made by a 12-year-old Los Angeles boy, according to Court TV.

Police executed a search warrant on Jackson's Neverland Ranch in central California on Tuesday (November 18) morning in response to the boy's claims (see "New Allegations Spark Search Of Jackson's Neverland Ranch").

Reports: Jackson, Molestation Link Probed

As many as 70 law enforcement officials served a search warrant at the compound Tuesday and searched for evidence throughout the night as part of an "ongoing criminal investigation," Sgt. Chris Pappas said.

He said no warrant had been issued for Jackson's arrest.

Court TV, citing unidentified sources, reported that the allegations were brought by a 12- or 13-year-old boy. And the television program "Celebrity Justice" said Tuesday that a therapist reported disclosures by a boy who spent time at Neverland and began therapy several months ago.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department would not elaborate on the purpose of Tuesday's search. The district attorney and sheriff planned to provide more details at a press conference Wednesday.

That could be the title for the next Michael Jackson dance routine -- the Perp Walk. It will be interesting to see how Mikey might try to "sing" his way out of this one...

Perhaps Michael Jackson could "marry" his glove.

The 12 year old's parents should be investigated too. Anyone who would let their young child be alone with Jackson is being negligent in their duties as a parent.

I hope this marks the beginning of the end. I'm tired of Jackson and I'm tired of hearing about it.

As far as I'm concerned, he cinched it the instant he admitted on national TV that he slept in the same bed with children that weren't his own.

Oh, No! Not at all! It was all part of their plan to gain enough money to pay for all of his (and their) lifelong needs! Some parents put money in their kids College Fund. Some tell their kid to go play at Michael's house. It's all the same -- it's all "for the children".

If they wanted to arrest him why didn't they pick him up in Las Vegas, or have the FBI do it for them.
