Nobody sees the things Pujols does, because he plays in flyover country. If he had hit .450 with 200 RBI, Bonds still would have won.
Sad commentary on a lazy group of sportswriters, and announcers.

It might be flyover country for some, but it's Baseball City, USA. (By the way, as a major airline hub, StL is technically not "flyover country." ;O)

I suspect they figure Pujols will get his. I sure hope so. Bonds is a great player, but I wouldn't feel any sadness over his retiring without a WS championship ring.

Bonds was simply better than Pujols. He had more HRsThere is no regional bias. Bonds had more HR's in about 200 fewer at bats and he had a much higher OBP% and SLG%. Just looking at the numbers you'd have to give it to Bonds. Oh yeah, and his team didnt suck.

I love living in flyover country, and hope that it always remains flyover country.

I agree with you 100% on Pujols, and I live in "SF Giants" territory.

Pujoles gets pitched to. I wonder what Bonds would be hitting if they'd stop walking. He's the most feared hitter in the league.

I think you can make a very good case for Pujols, but St. Louis is not at a disadvantage in MVP voting -- more MVP awards have gone to Cardinals (14) than to any other NL team.
