42 Pages Of Indictments For Las Vegas Politicians

Conversations never intended to be heard by others. Now, two years after the secret discussions started, pages of wiretapping records that reveal details of cash exchanges, gifts of cars and lap dances. It's all in a 42-page indictment, the result of a FBI corruption probe that accuses current and former Clark County Commissioners of accepting bribes for votes on local topless clubs. News 3 Investigator Glen Meek reports, the evidence against the accused is mounting.

A federal grand jury handed up a 28-count criminal indictment against Dario Herrera, Lance Malone and Mary Kincaid-Chauncy. Inside the indictment, intimate details of years of illegal bribes, sexual favors and family perks. Details that if proven true, could make the three -- criminals.

The charges made public Thursday come six months after the FBI raids on two of Mike Galardi's strip clubs. The indictment lists conversations involving Galardi and his employee, former county commissioner Lance Malone. Along with three other commission members, Dario Herrera, Erin Kenny and current commission chair Mary Kincaid-Chauncey.

According to the grand jury, Galardi gave the commissioners cash, campaign contribution, free lap dances -- even covering tuition for an Olympic ski school for Kincaid-Chauncey's grandson. Money the commissioners appear to rely on.

According to the transcripts, Erin Kenny told Malone, quote -- "Tell me what I've got to do, but I've gotta have money from him. I'm begging now. I'm on my knees."

Galardi and Malone felt confident the bribes worked to get important votes on strip club laws. The FBI recorded Galardi saying quote "Erin and mary will definitely go our way; they just need to get Dario somehow. If we sweeten the pot a little for Mister Dario -- that will change." And according to the indictment, they did sweeten the deal for Dario; giving him thousands of dollars in cash, paying 3-thousand dollars for alcohol and lap dances, even offering to give him a lot of money for his campaign. The case goes to court in two weeks. One former politician won't be going to court, Erin Kenny already plead guilty and is helping the FBI with the investigation.

The funny part of this is that the local reporters knew this was going on for a long time. Coruption can not exist without a corrupt press.

The reporter was kind enough not to mention the party designation for these venal and corrupt officials.

Gee, I wonder whether there is a (D) or an (R) after their names...

I hope these scumbags start singing.
Isn't this the state with that tax-raising governor, Kenny Guinn, who's apparently in the pocket of the education mafia? Like to see that guy get ratted.
