US detains 18 over Baghdad hotel rocket attack

The US military has detained 18 people in connection with last month's rocket attack on Baghdad's Rashid hotel, which killed a US colonel and wounded 15 others, an army spokesman has said.

"We can confirm there have been some detentions, exactly 18 is the number," said Lieutenant Colonel George Krivo.

"There will be more information and details within 24 to 48 hours," he said.

Eight to ten rockets hit the heavily fortified Rashid, where US Deputy Defence Secretary Paul Wolfowitz was staying while on a visit, in the early morning of October 26.

The bombardment was the first deadly hit inside the US-led coalition's citadel-like Baghdad compound since the Americans entered the capital in April.

I either read or saw a news report saying that we traced the vehicle used back to the terrorists. We found the paint used on the trailor, the welding equipment used to create the array, and other items. Pretty amazing detective work.

Okay, so not they're caught. Now quickly run 'em through a military tribunal, verify their guilt, sentence them to die, gut them from "butthole to appetite," and then hang upside down in the middle of Baghdad so their guts will spill out on the ground for the vermin cousins to feast upon.
