Oh one more thing: I think an entity no less powerful than the National Football League may have played a behind the scenes role in CBS shelving the miniseries. You forget that CBS will be broadcasting the next Super Bowl game and if CBS had broadcast The Reagans as scheduled it would have resulted in potentially disastrous effects on Super Bowl TV advertising sales, sales that help CBS recoup the cost of producing the Super Bowl.

They are worried about legislation that would allow the broacasters to buy up as many outlets as possible. They need the President and the republicans on their side for this.

They need not have worried too much, after all McCain would always vote for Viacom.......he took campaign donations from them.
