[history]
Senate Republicans expressed outrage yesterday over a memo that plotted a Democratic strategy for taking maximum political advantage of an investigation into U.S. intelligence before the war in Iraq.
The memo, written by a staffer for Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV, West Virginia Democrat and co-chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, suggested Democrats "pull the majority along as far as we can."

Senator Zell Miller said it best this morning. This memo is the first cousin to treason. And that's out of the mouth of a Dem.
To: kattracks
Let's hear it from them! Call news conferences and insist the media show up at them! The media will bury this if they don't just keep pounding.

Bipartisan is a concept that exists only in the imagination of the Republicans. On the other side, it's war by any and all means. Note how the democrats are now using their "best defense is a good offense" strategy.
My disgust for the dims is exceeded only by my revulsion for any Republican who gets rolled on this issue. We already know they hate us. Why waste valuable time trying to make them like us. C'mon Chairman Roberts, WAKE UP!

Sen. Jon Corzine, New Jersey Democrat, said too much was being made over "some concept memo that wasn't seen by anybody else in the committee."
So if this is the 'concept memo', what does the memo they decided to go with say? And why would you even propose a memo like this in the first place?

This is old news. Everyone expects Democrats to be partisan and treasonous. ;-)
To: kattracks
They need to find out just who that staffer was and they should be terminated immediately and possibly imprisioned. Zell Miller is right, heads should roll over this one.

Republican politicians need to get a clue. The democRATS standard mode of operation could have been taken straight from the Koran: It is permissable to deceive your enemies when you are not in the majority.
This "reaching across the aisle" is Bullsh!!!!. The only result is that you get your hands chopped off.
The Dims never made demands for "shared powers" when they were in control.
Zell Miller is right. "Heads should roll!

Mr. Rockefeller released a statement saying
"Having said that," Mr. Rockefeller added, "the memo clearly reflects staff frustration with the conduct of the ... investigation and the difficulties of obtaining information from the administration." I didnt read any frustration whatsoever in the memo, only cold calculating plans to destroy President Bush.

"

They plot strategy day and night, and it isn 't the flunkies planning it. It's so vicious it sounds like Dashole or Carvile or McCauliffe, or Lady Clinton, or, or, or, it could be any one of dozens of these despicable evil people.

I think we need an independent counsel to investigate this :-}

Sen. Jon Corzine, New Jersey Democrat, said too much was being made over "some concept memo..." Was too much made over 16 words in a president's speech, Sen. Corzine?
Was too much made over who may have mentioned a CIA official's name to Bob Novak, Sen. Corzine?
Was too much made over a banner flown at a president's speech on an aircraft carrier, Sen. Corzine?
Was too much made about a memo leaked from Sec. Rumsfeld, Sen. Corzine?
It seems like all the Democrats and their media harpies have done for the past six months is make too much of trivial details that are irrelevent to what the President has said and accomplished because you just needed something to stir the #^&* and create doubt about the President's motives and methods, Sen. Corzine. Too bad if the tables get turned.

True. If the Party of Compassion can't find it in its heart to put the country before their own quest for political power, you have to wonder why Republicans get so worked up about appearing "moderate" (that is, to adopt policies that will make liberals happy).
It's not like they're going to vote for us. They're not going to say nice things about us. They aren't going to listen to us or ascribe decent motives to our particular policies. All they are going to do is call us names and undermine our policies, no matter what the cost to the country.
So why work with them? All they want is power. They should be treated like the greedy opportunists they are.
To: yhwhsman
Ah, a "concept memo."
As usual, the liberal swine are incapable of accepting responsibility for anything. The memo isn't even real!
Really. They're such insulting swine. It's about time they were treated as such.

"Having said that," Mr. Rockefeller added, "the memo clearly reflects staff frustration with the conduct of the ... investigation and the difficulties of obtaining information from the administration." I don't care how frustrated they are .. You DO NOT play political games to score points with Our Nations National Security!
Hello Ethics Committee .. Care to look into this matter???
