Wait, I get it, I just reread the article. It's just every time I see the name Barbara Streisand, I think "BARF ALERT".

Viacom is dumb. If they want to make up their money, sell this to the Bush-hating crowd on DVD at $25 a pop. It will bomb on Showtime. But there are enough irrational hateful liberals out their who could care less whether this is true, as long as it trashes the great conservative. Liberals need fiction to rationalize their hatred.

"Indeed, today marks a sad day for artistic freedom" Why? The producers were free to make the movie and CBS was free to air it. But the latter chose not to do so, as a business decision.

Gee, it hurts when the shoe is on the other foot. I'm sure Dr. Laura must be enjoying her revenge today. What goes around comes around and there is no right of free speech in the private sector. The First Amendment only forbids the government from interfering with freedom of the press. It doesn't tell businesses and individuals what they are and aren't allowed to read, hear, and see - it leaves it up to their judgment. I'm afraid Babs is in need of a history lesson.

See what I mean? It didn't take long, folks! I'm listening to Mark Larson (of San Diego's KCBQ) doing a mock reading of Ms. Streisand's (over-the-top) statement. This is great.

Its absolutely sickening that these people don't want to support democracy and the voice of the people. We're not asking the government to pass a law banning a Reagan mini-series. We're not asking the Judiciary to create a Reagan Right to Privacy. We're just telling CBS that if they air it they'll lose us as customers. Basically CBS is supplying a product and we're telling that if they do we'll not demand anything else from CBS anymore. Supply and Demand. Liberals think everything they utter should be forced to air on everyone's televisions. This is as sickening as Hitlery coming out and saying that the Electoral system needed to be done away with.

It's a 'Sad Day' When You Can't Attack the ReagansSure, you can attempt to smear our beloved ex-president while he's on his death bed, freedom allows you to do this. Freedom also allows us to counterattack, and you had better have the stomach for it. In this case, you came up short.

A bit confused here, where is the no freedom of speech? CBS had every right to show the "movie" and chose to show it on another outlet which they are perfectly free to do.
