I read that sanchez was interested somewhere.

He probably doesn't want to declare any interest in the House seat just so it looks like he is concentrating on becoming mayor JMO.

Kentucky came through for the Republicans. Ernie Fletcher won a 55% to 45% margin, and the 'Rats also lost the offices of Secretary of State and state Agriculture Commissioner. In addition, they very nearly lost the state Auditor's office.

Too bad about the Auditor's race I had my hopes up after polls showed it was close although in the beginning I didn't except we'd win it. Grayson did quite well though. Wood didn't too too bad although I think the indie was a far-lefter

Ernie Fletcher (R) 593,508 (55%)
A.B. `Ben' Chandler III (D) 484,938 (45%)

Richie Farmer (R) 574,374 (55%)
Alice Woods Baesler (D) 467,407 (45%)

C.M. "Trey" Grayson (R) 526,163 (53%)
Russ Maple (D) 475,420 (47%)

Crit Luallen (D) 510,827 (51%)
Linda Greenwell (R) 495,493 (49%)

Gregory D. Stumbo (D) 490,211 (48%)
Jack D. Wood (R) 427,875 (41%)
Gatewood Galbraith (I) 109,041 (11%)

Jonathan Miller (D) 566,213 (57%)
Adam Koenig (R) 434,569 (43%)

Farmer got 55% just like Dr. Fletcher, I thought he'd do better.

The MS AG race was a blowout for the Rat for some reason but we won the Treas. race.

In the state Auditor's race, Linda Greenwell (R) made one error. Her campaign was almost entirely negative, based on her opponent's association with Governor Paul Patton. While she had a valid point, she didn't give voters enough reason to vote for her. Too bad.
