I've created a new thread: Terri Schindler Schiavo Guardianship Hearing Wednesday November 5, 2003 discussing the Schindler's petition for removing Michael as guardian (which was apparently filed long ago but is finally coming to court). The material has been posted on this thread, but it seems sufficiently important to merit a thread of its own.

On a related note, does anyone know what's up with a senate bill to remove lewd and lacivious behavior as a disqualifying factor for guardians?

I have an idea.

Doesn't FL have the initiative process, as do AR, CA, and CO, for instance? Why can't we initiate a couple or three of laws to benefit Terri and try to force an immediate special election? Perhaps a law on qualification of guardians. Or something on written permission being required to withhold feeding tubes? I don't think we can wait until next November though, for the courts will have dehydrated her again by then. The FL courts are liberal beyond belief!!! Even if nominally "Republican" in some cases.

You mean "Michael's Bill?"
