Michael graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school in 1980.. he then enrolled in Bucks county comunity college where he met Terri. Both Terri and michael dropped out of comunity college in 1982.
He grew up in Levittown, Pa., in suburban Philadelphia, the son of Bill and Clara Schiavo.

"He went on Larry King and told the world he only had one child." Well, not exactly. Larry King only asked him if he had A child and he admitted he did. He didn't volunteer that he had one or more besides. At that point, I believe the second one of his children with Jodi had been born.

"County do keep records of birth.." Not much help if you don't have a name to work with though.

Is there anyone from Woodrow Wilson High School out there who could tell us about the "younger" Schiavo? As Wordsworth said, "the child is the father of the man." I would like to hear "old friends" tell all about this speciman of "humanity."

I used to visit this young man at a nursing home. He had cerebral palsey. Couldn't walk; couldn't talk. He was smart and used to go by motorized wheelchair to COLLEGE!!! One morning they found him dead in bed. What happened was those beds, you know the bars to keep people from falling out of bed, well, his head got stuck under the bar and the mattress and he couldn't breathe. Everyone was in shock. It was so sad.
Think how awful to be so weak and vulnerable and you can't fend for yourself. Same with Terri. She depends on those around her to be kind and loving and supporting AND JUST LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!!! I hate it that she's still in that hell hole of a hospice!

I got to go...see you later..God bless You ALL !!

"Michael graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school in 1980.." Yeah, I knew about the community college. Guess I missed the reference to the high school. Thanks.

Everytime I hear of abuse and neglect in care facilities, my blood runs cold.
There was a time when families lived close by, giving support to both young and old. I've seen friends paternal & maternal grandmothers in rented hospital beds in the family dining room - no place else to put them. And it's not such a bad idea when one considers the interaction, rather than shoving them off into boredom of a strange room with strangers in & out.

"Thanks but after they tried to starve Terri, I think I'll stear clear of hospice."
I told my spouse that I didn't want to ever go to a hospice after hearing about this case and other similar cases. If I ever get that sick let me die at home. I'm checking into long-term care insurance that provides nursing help in our house for both of us.

Actually, child support is not deductible by the payor, nor reportable income to the receiver.
If he claimed the child as an exemption and/or for the earned income tax credit, of course, he would need to report name and soc. security number. But most likely the mother claimed the exemption.

About the California treatment- -
From the LKL show - -
"KING: Did they not accuse you of denying Terri any rehab treatment since 1993?
SCHIAVO: Let's talk about the rehab.
When this happened to Terri, I sued Prudential Insurance for her rehab benefits. She (AUDIO GAP) Bayfront Medical Center for three months getting extensive rehab...
KING: In Clearwater, right?
SCHIAVO: In St. Petersburg.
KING: (UNINTELLIGIBLE)
SCHIAVO: She spent three months there. Then, while she was there, we heard of this doctor in California here that was doing experimental surgery, implanting stimulators in people's brains in hopes to stimulate any activity.
Now, we were told with this, too (Ph) when this doctor looked at the CAT scans, that it was probably not going to work Because there's just no brain left. But I did it anyway, because I loved Terri. And I wanted to bring my wife back. I wanted to have my wife back in me.
So I flew her out to California by myself, with a nurse. And I spent a month there. They inserted the stimulator.
KING: Didn't work?
SCHIAVO: No, it eventually didn't work, no. The protocol for the stimulator was three months. I kept it on her for a year. "
