HAVANA (Reuters) - Cuban President Fidel Castro has praised California Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger's muscles but wonders how much brain power the former Mr. Universe has.

"To judge from the photographs, he has a lot of muscle, but they have not tested him to see how much muscle he has in the brain," the bearded revolutionary quipped during a five-hour speech on Friday evening closing a Latin American social sciences conference.

"He way well have more force in the arms than in the brain," Castro, 77, said of the former Austrian body builder who went from B-movie actor to Hollywood star and governor of the richest U.S. state.

"At least he has the merit of having done a lot of exercise," added the Cuban leader, who played basketball and baseball when he was younger.

Anti-Castro exiles in Miami have called on California's future Republican governor not to trade with the communist-run island, where Castro has been in power since a 1959 guerrilla-led revolution.

Wow, good to see he is shortening up his speeches.

Some of Castro's remarks sound rather familiar.

At least Shwarzenegger was smart enough to make a fortune on his own without having to imprison, torture and kill anyone who got in his way.

I think Castro forgot the "sixth rule of conflict".

Yeah, but Castro doesn't really care as long as he has his.

Arnie's a secure enough actor not to have to wear a costume in public all the time too.
