Lynne has passed away....a special thread in her memory is deserving for this great Freeper.

Many of us met her for the first time at the inaugural ball. She seemed genuinely surprised that I was familiar with her screenname as she had only been a registered Freeper for less than a year at the time. A very modest and nice person.

Can you print this thread, and at an appropriate time, pass it to the family letting them know we remember her fondly, and hope they continue OK in the future?

It would mean a lot to me knowing that her real family could meet (if only briefly) her "internet (perimeter highway?) family."

I regret I didn't know LBGA personally but from all the things I have read about her, the following seems appropriate:

"When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying."

I'll be happy to do that. In fact, when .45MAN and I last visited Lynne, we printed out the Prayer Thread for LBGA and gave it to her becasue she was too weak to get on her PC.

I was struck by Lynne's humility - her remarks that she couldn't understand why so many people would write such beautiful things about her or send so many beautiful cards and letters and gifts. As I said before, she didn't know how special she was - but we do.

I will also send a link to this thread to her sister and brother - they have links to the prayer thread and the Tribute Thread, as well. In fact, Lynne's sister Susan has signed up on FR, but isn't ready to post just yet. We have another FReeper in the making.
