She looks young enough to be the baby's mother. I saw her on the news last night. Something is wrong here; I didn't believe her story. She looked like she was lying. No mention of the baby's mom or dad. The woman whose door she knocked on contradicted her story. This woman had plenty of time to pull the baby from the burning car, but didn't and didn't tell anyone else he was in there. If she had, other people would have pulled him out. Without knowing the facts of the story, my first guess at this is that a mom dumped her baby on this young grandmother (who is attractive enough) who in turn resented it and wanted out. Very sad story.

I became a grandmother at 41 (now 45 with 2 grandkids), my daughter had her first baby at 19, I had my daughter at age 22, so it is not all that unusual, especially if you consider that my mother got married at 16 and had 2 kids by the time she was 21. Up until the last couple of years, I still got "carded" for beer even though my kids are old enough to drink.
