I have noticed increasingly that conservative women are real lookers and the liberals are clock stoppers. Everybody always has pictures of Ann Coulter but Michelle Malkin is also lovely. A still registered democrat and a lesbian but definitely conservative writer ,Tammy Bruce is a looker as well.

Susan Estridge , Hitlery, Madeline (Ursula the Sea Hag) Pelosi, both in voice and appearance make you wish they wore bags over their heads. From Estridge's voice I seriously wonder if she is a drag queen.

I have pondered this long and hard and am working on a theory. I think it has a lot to do with the Nags. Not to drag Rush into this but he has said that the primary purpose of Feminism is to give ugly women political power.

As far as a " face only a woman could love" that only works for ugly babies.

Heard from several lib friends about O'Reily walking out "cause he couldn't control things", so I listened to the broadcast (via the website).
This was "book review"? Though I support his ideas, I am not the biggest supporter of O'Reily's personality. but his was not a book review, this was an inquisition.
I believe a radio station has the right to air what ever they chose, and I don't need to listen, but I continue to be angered by NPR (which I am forced to support with my tax dollars) pushing this totally liberal agenda. And where are Republicans in congress when funding time comes??

A letter to Terry Gross from Prof. Rosa Maria Pegueros summed it up well.

He just couldn't help himself: This vile bile from Pegueros doesn't sum anything up well, except the inexplicable, apparently involuntary liberal need to attack and insult anyone who disagrees with them. Their ombudsman seems more concerned that Gross provided non-fellow travelers with more evidence that NPR tilts sharply to the left. I used to listen to Morning Edition, but recently stopped. My morning drives are now much less depressing...

Dittos on that! ... That whole article was an excercise in smug liberal navel-gazing!

Tammy Bruce is definitely a looker, you're right. I think Susan Estrich was probably one too a few years back. Don't know about waking up to that voice though.

She went to the same University I did. The alumni magazine has some kind of article on her at least once a year. They haven't gotten a penny from me.

I listened to both interviews. Gross' first question for Bill was "Why did you sue Franken?" His response was "I didn't." She couldn't grasp basic academic principles like citing sources.

In the Franken interview, she kept making her nervous laugh while Franken ridiculed his targets. Franken sent out letters to many conservatives misrepresenting himself in his role at some center at Harvard, but doesn't consider that a lie because it was a prank.

But why do you feel the need to take a cheap shot at her sexuality?

Hey, the sort of rude, angry, aggressive behaviour displayed by Gross here -- and elsewhere -- is certainly in keeping of the traditional stereotype of lesbians, isn't it?

Some stereotypes might be made up, but this is one with more than a smidgen of truth at its core. Suggested reading; Why Lesbians Aren't Gay, by Steve Sailer. Originally published in National Review, 1994.

I like to refer to it as a

Frankenprank

Franken made the comment that it was a prank to Howard Kurtz, on September 7, 2003. Kurtz had just asked Franken how he could explain writing a book about liars, if he himself lied to John Ashcroft in that letter.

That's when Prankn' Al Franken said it was not a lie, it was a prank.

I was listening to O'Reilly the day he played part of the interview. It sure sounded like he was eating her lunch. She sounded weak and defensive.

I am not a particular fan of O'Reilly because I think he is pretty liberal in a lot of areas but he sure did a job on Gross.

When the interview was originally played Terry said that she was at O'Reilly's facilities.

O'Reilly didn't walk out, he hung up the phone.

That's not the impression I got. It was done in O'Reilly's studio.

If you listen to the end of the interview when O'Reilly "walked out" it's pretty obvious that Terri still thought the interview was going on. For a few seconds she's still asking questions only to be informed that O'Reilly is gone.

I'm pretty sure it was a phone interview with O'Reilly at his facility and Terri at hers.

But, regardless, it's not really crucial to anything how it was conducted IMO.

True. She did act like she was not aware that he left. Good catch.

Here's the answer from NPR:

yeah, that did sound strange -- they were speaking to one another via ISDN line -- I'm sure you know all about that. An ISDN is a specialized, high-quality line that you can plug microphones into and it makes people sound like they're in the same place when they aren't. They are used a lot in TV and radio. O'Reilly was in his own studios at FOX and Gross was at station WHYY in Philadelphia at the time of that interview.

If you think that Gross's politics and sexuality aren't related, you're living in a dream world.

Frankly, I wouldn't care if all interviews were done in attack mode, forcing the interviewee to defend his/her work.

The problem with NPR, and other mainstream (liberal) news media, is that the bias is reflected more in what they don't do, then what they do.

I will admit that I do not listen to NPR. However, I am willing to be large sums of money that when NPR interviews a leftist, such as Moore, the interview is a series of softballs. The bias is clearly reflected in the difference in treatment between conservative and liberal interviewees.

If I were O'Reilly, to make the point I would play parts of the NPR Moore interview followed by parts of the NPR O'Reilly interview to show the clearly different tactics. I would guess that none of Moore's idiotic and unsupportable assertions were challenged in the NPR Moore interview.
