The Pentagon Unleashes a Holy Warrior
A Christian extremist in a high Defense post can only set back the U.S. approach to the Muslim world.
By William M. Arkin, William M. Arkin is a military affairs analyst who writes regularly for The Times.
In June of 2002, Jerry Boykin stepped to the pulpit at the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow, Okla., and described a set of photographs he had taken of Mogadishu, Somalia, from an Army helicopter in 1993.
The photographs were taken shortly after the disastrous "Blackhawk Down" mission had resulted in the death of 18 Americans. When Boykin came home and had them developed, he said, he noticed a strange dark mark over the city. He had an imagery interpreter trained by the military look at the mark. "This is not a blemish on your photograph," the interpreter told him, "This is real."
"Ladies and gentleman, this is your enemy," Boykin said to the congregation as he flashed his pictures on a screen. "It is the principalities of darkness It is a demonic presence in that city that God revealed to me as the enemy."
That's an unusual message for a high-ranking U.S. military official to deliver. But Boykin does it frequently.
This June, for instance, at the pulpit of the Good Shepherd Community Church in Sandy, Ore., he displayed slides of Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein and North Korea's Kim Jung Il. "Why do they hate us?" Boykin asked. "The answer to that is because we're a Christian nation We are hated because we are a nation of believers."

Sir:
William M. Arkin is concerned that Gen. Boykin's religious zeal will harm our relations with the Muslim world. This is very odd. Firstly, we are at war with the Muslim world--except that we are in denial. The conflict is stark: Western Civilization versus barbarism. If Gen. Boykin chooses to place the conflict in a religious context, that is fine with this Jew.
Secondly, in every war in history, every combatant has believed that "God is on our side". The Muslims certainly do.
We are at war with a primitive culture/religion that wishes us all converted or all dead. We are in denial, and Arkin's screed only promotes denial. When you are at war for your civilization, your lives, your children's lives--against an implacable enemy that wishes us dead--one can afford not to worry about hurting their feelings. Killing them is a much better solution. That is what generals are FOR, in case Mr. Arkin has forgotten.

Same propoganda when it comes to Judges also. And just proves of the religious litmus test of the Dems, if you are releigious you are not worthy for office.
They can deny that to the American people but little things like this that they can't control themselvse from printing prove the point.

Apparently, the First Amendment does not extend to Christians.

The media are just getting started on the big smear campaign. NBC News had a hit piece on the general last night. You could see and hear the liberal sneers.

Arkin is another of Chrissy Matthews hit men. A so-called "expert" called in to bash the US on every single issue since 9/11.
The agenda of the leftist Eurosophists is to paint Bush as dangerous as Saddam.
This is the same UN mentality of the last 25 years, putting Israel and Hamas on a level playing ground.
Which is exactly why the Cult of Islam has had it's way, killing with impunity for decades.

Secondly, in every war in history, every combatant has believed that "God is on our side". The Muslims certainly doAnd they are right but allah is not the God of Abraham, Isaac nor Jacob he is the moon god which is not a god or even a reality but a figment of the imaginations of the millions of Ismaelites who are followers of and controlled by the Satan.

This attack is really aimed at Bush. The implication is that he is a True Believer who is putting other True Believers in high positions. It's important to deal with this kind of bigotry head-on, or we'll soon be seeing real persecution of Christians in this country. Too many people already believe those lies about the Religious Right being a bunch of dangerous fanatics itching to take over the country and persecute unbelievers.

I'd just as soon have someone in charge of fighting Moslem terrorism who makes it very clear that he'd just as soon wipe Islam off the map. No pulled punches, no choking up, no kiss in the circle.
On their side, the Arabs have always put in charge rabid Moslems who are very unambiguous about how they hate Jews/Christians/Americans ... and so far, they've been winning, frequently without much effort as those Jews, Christians, and Americans make futile attempts to buy their friendship with more and more concessions and giveaways.
We should have more guys in charge who are upfront about their willingness to nuke Mecca. Then the Arabs would know that the only thing that works with us is solid results, not empty promises and certainly not sabre rattling.

THANKS.
AND THANKS for your ltr to the LA SLIMES
This sort of thing is going to get more and more vicious.
God will be raising up in a range of positions His point persons. They will increasingly operate in His Spirit, His knowledge, His revelations, His empowerments, etc.
And the enemy will begin to throw all he has at them.
The stoolies in the media and political arenas will let loose with no holds barred.
It will eventually build to the proportions of Elisha and the prophets of Baal at Mt Carmel.
God will use many 'foolish things' and 'foollish,' unattractive, virtually off-the-wall servants to confound the greatest of man's wisdom and the greatest of man's power.
GOD THE FATHER, SON AND SPIRIT WILL HAVE ALL THE GLORY.
All else will be brought low--in humble willing service to HIM or crushed under HIS JUGGERNAUGHT.
In the process, buckle your seatbelts.
It's likely to be intense, messy, dramatic.
Grow maximally in The Lord's discernment, Humility, Love, Spiritual sensitivity and dwell always under the shadow of the Almighty.
Nothing less will do.
Spiritual dimensions of reality will become much more evident than during any era in history. Confusion about which way is up, down, right, left, ahead, backwards will become acute in greater numbers of life's spheres.
The 91st Psalms and others will needs become our LIVING WORD meditated on, voiced, walked in constantly.
IMHO.
Opinions will differ and mileage will vary.
Hint: It's God's opinion that matters most.
Hint: The demon moon god called Allah is NOT God Almighty.

What I find strange and interesting is that the liberal mindset of Muslims and Islam is that they, and it, is an 'inspired' way of life and christians are the barbarians who 'God' is a myth and a danger to the rest of the world.
The problem with this stance tho, is that they denounce Christianity and a christian 'God' as "mythical" while embracing the same "God" in the form of 'Allah' as being righteous and real.
