Morton Klein, President of the Zionist Organization of American, will be visit Swarthmore College to deliver his lecture lecture entitled "Israel & the Arabs: Is Peace Possible?" on Monday, October 27th at 7:30 PM in the Scheuer Room.

Mr. Klein is widely regarded as one of the leading Jewish activists in the United States. In acknowledgment of his successful activism, The Forward, a national Jewish weekly, named him one of the top five Jewish leaders in the US today, stating "it's impossible to deny that Klein has been extraordinarily effective." The Philadelphia Jewish Exponent named him one of the top dozen "Jewish activists of the century." He has been invited to testify before the US Congress, including the US House International Relations Committee, and the Israeli Knesset.  Klein has appeared on TV and radio including ABC's Peter Jennings World News Tonight, NBC National News, Jim Lehrer News Hour, O'Reilly Factor, Buchanan & Friends, Donahue, CNN, Fox-TV, CNBC, MSNBC, NPR, and the BBC.

Will he be allowed to speak, or will he be shouted down?

I saw David Horowitz there and he was politely received. There was some leafleting at the door, a few snide remarks after his talk between individuals, but overall a very civilized atmosphere.

Surprisingly, Horowitz had a lot more fans at Swathmore than I expected.

I may try and make this one just to see how it goes.

Gee, where's that jackass who spouted to Freeperdom that anyone who uses the term "Zionist" has an anti-Semitic streak? I'd love to hear him comment on this JEWISH organization using the term. Must be those crazy self-loathing Jews ganging up on themselves.

Using the English language doesn't make someone anti-Semitic, much as some folks here want to slander anyone who might even remotely question U.S. policy toward Israel.

"Using the English language doesn't make someone anti-Semitic"

LE, VERY good! Nor, do words make anybody anti or pro anything. Just the combination of those words and/with actions. "Beliefs" are a mind thing. and only mind readers can tell{?} for sure. Peace and love, George.
