Fast Hispanic growth shows no sign of slowing in next 20 years

The population surge that has made Hispanics America's largest minority shows no sign of slowing in the next 20 years, according to a study released Tuesday by a Latino research group.

The Pew Hispanic Center found that much of the growth will be from children born to parents who arrived during the immigration wave that began in the 1980s. Because they are native-born, many of those youngsters will have an easier time than their parents, freed of language barriers that made it harder to find work and fully assimilate into American society.

Horse Hockey--150 years ago they said that about cheap Chinese laborers. If this country goes belly up and there are no jobs for anyone, all these illegals will be heading south. Maybe we can bring in Chinese Coolies to work for less than the Mexicans? All I am saying is that projections that far in advance are meaningless. So much can happen to change things.

Well there's legal immigration, then there's illegal immigration, then there's the fact that they actually have kids unlike certain population groups. Even without immigration, white americans are reproducing below replacement levels, so their percentage is destined to decline. Oh well, teach your kids Spanish and move on. Viva America!!!

I believe that it has already begun in Southern California. Things happen there that are never reported in the media. Things like race riots at high schools. There was one at a high school in Compton just the other day.

That's GREAT news! I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm one of those American citizens that wants more congestion on streets and freeways, more blight in our neighborhoods, more urban overcrowding, more violent and property crime, lower wages for American workers, more devaluation of our citizenship rights, more contempt for the rule of law, less civic spirit, less societal cohesiveness, more Balkanization, lower school test scores but higher education expenditures, and less national unity! So, keep 'em coming! Adelante! YEE-haaa!

Reminds me of a friend of mine from Air Force days. During the late 80's, our parent Space Division organization asked us to put in our budget projections for satellite control for the years 2005-2010 (We worked at the subsidiary Air Force Satellite Control Facility). So, for hers, she put in:

"2005 - new Ultra-S band antenna system installed throughout network: $500 million
2006 - New subspace data relay system launched into orbital Libration points: $1.2 billion
2007 - Total global thermonuclear war - no further budgetary requirements.

Don't know if they ever sent it back...

The democrats, who have always hated blacks, love this! The steady inflow of cheap Mexican labor guarantees that black youth for years to come will not find entry level employment and, thus, will continue to be dependent on the government. And, if they can't get entry level employment, they'll never learn the on-the-job skills to advance like the Mexicans do. More than $10 billion will also be syphoned from our economy and sent back to Mexico. Boy, are the dems sticking it to the blacks!

A very solid majority of hispanics vote democrat. With huge increases in the populations of the asians, blacks, and hispanics, the conservative voting block will be a minority in all future elections.

Yup. Exactly right. And that is why they changed the immigration laws in 1965 just about a year after the Civil Rights Act was passed. They were so threatened by Black people and hated Black people so much that they decided to let in hordes of third world people in an attempt to destroy Black people in this country. Just when we (Blacks and Whites) were starting to work things out between them, that is when they changed immigration policy and the total destruction of this country began. We can all thank that bastard murderer Ted Kennedy for what is happening right now. He is filth and he will go down in history as being instrumental in the destruction of his own country.
