I think the gay "backlash" is only the precursor to total acceptance. Gays will finally get the idea that most straight people won't hunt them down in the street and will probably stop yapping. I think straight people are just tired of hearing about it. Oh well.
I don't like the idea of gay bishops and such because the Bible does seem prettty clear on the issue.

Maybe we can get it applied to all special interest groups - one day a year to not have to listen to the whining would be sheer bliss....

I'm tired of it all; everything from "Queer Eye" to "Trading Spaces" is frought with gays. "Ellen" is back, with her daily parade of gay guests; HBO, et al, all seem to be offering a steady stream of homosexual oriented shows and movies...even most of the comic on "Comedy Central" are gay.
I've cancelled all my premium channels on DISH, and I never, ever, watch the networks anyway, so it looks like I'm down to watching documentaries, or movies I choose to buy or rent.
Gays have ingratiated themselves into decision making positions with the entertainment industry, and the only thing that will ever make them shut up will be loss of viewers, and/or loss of advertisers. In fact, I'd like to see a "TV Burning"...groups around the country taking their TV sets to a bonfire and piling them on. OK, one of your "old" sets.
This perverted fare is certainly nothing to subject children to, and people who are straight (except for the liberal diversity types) don't need 5 shows a night built around the "wonders" [sic] of being homosexual.
I don't care to know what these people do, in their bedroom or otherwise...they seem to be the only ones in society who want to constantly exhibit their sexual habits to people who really don't care.
I think it's past "gay fatigue"...most of us have graduated to "absolutely sick" of it all. I watch even less TV now than I did 10 years ago when bill clinton was all the [democrats] rage...I don't know which is worse...clinton fatigue, or gay fatigue...I think it's a draw.

I'm guessing we won't be seeing much of Steve Blow in the future. I'm sure there was a veritable sh** storm in the newsroom about this article.

The irony is that most gay folks I know want nothing more than to live quiet, ordinary lives. Home. Church. Job. Family.
That's what all the fuss is about. And when that's won, peace and quiet is the prize we all will reap. The deal we once made with gays was this: You stay invisible, let us pretend you don't exist, and everything will be OK.
It's not surprising that once gays did kick open the closet door, they were more than a little miffed and clamoring for attention. "We're here, we're queer, get used to it," as the chant went.
What's wrong with this picture?
What's the point of the article?
That PC beats ordered thinking, logic and common sense?
To me it looks like we've come full circle.
The headline of this article is totally misleading and deliberately contrived to be that way.
Which makes the it a masterpiece of pervert propaganda.

Maybe now it's time to simply reply, "You're gay, OK, we get it." Or, "You're gay, OK, who cares?"

My husband and I were watching election returns on Fox news, and our 9 year old son comes in to watch. Of course the topic of Arnold vs other candidates stance on homosexuality comes up. We didn't get the chance to change the channel fast enought, and my son asked "What does gay mean?" He had heard people using the expression at school also.
So we vaguely explained that it meant instead of a mommy and a daddy love each other it's when 2 men or 2 women fall in love. We explained that its sad because they can't have children. I explained that God wants a man and woman to get married and have children. We also explained that we are not mean to people that are gay.
It was short and sweet, and he didn't ask any more questions.

On Trading Spaces, the gay people don't talk about it. I can handle that. In fact, I'm still not sure who is gay and who is straight on that show. There's a few that I'm sure about.

"I didn't choose whether I would be attracted to men or women. Those circuits got wired without my say-so."
Does this philosophy apply to pedophiles too? A bunch of idiocy in my opinion.
To: Recourse
Gays and lesbians don't get to choose their wiring, either.BEEP! Wrong!
Yet their wiring subjects them to ridicule, discrimination, beatings and Jerry Falwell.
BEEP! Wrong! Their mental illness/bad choices give them extra publicity, lots of TV shows, "Gay Pride" parades, ACLU support, special clubs at schools, special high schools, special non-discrimination laws, etc etc etc.
That's not right.
BEEP! Damn straight it's not right.
The irony is that most gay folks I know want nothing more than to live quiet, ordinary lives. Home. Church. Job. Family.
BEEP! Wrong. If that was true, the whole "gay" activist thing wouldn't be happening. Nor would the crazed promiscuity thing, the exploding STD infection rates, the AIDS "epidemic", the lower life expectancy, the higher alcohol/drug use, the high rates of "partner abuse", the higher rates of mental problems, etc etc etc. Obviously this guy doesn't know or is covering for the "gay" agenda. He must not have checked out any of the homosexual newspapers and seen their personal ads. Not too many are interested in a normal life of longerm monogamy, church and so on.
And note the use of the word "family" and the sick bumper stickers "Love makes a family" etc. In other words, two or three homosexuals, a foster kid or two, and a couple dogs is a family. Right. Factor in the trips to Thailand and the bathhouse orgies, and that group of people is just like any husband and wife and kids.

How about a "National Please Shut Up Day," I wanted to say. I'm all for it. Let's call it the "National Shut the F*** Up About Your Sexuality Day." We'll all go fishing, play ball, make Batik curtains, or whatever makes you happy, but you will not mention your sexual orientation at all for a whole 24-hour period.

If they are on that show at all, they are gay. If they are on Orange County Choppers on the other hand, they are straight.
