Smith is a loser. If he is nominated, the seat will most assuredly flip to the RATS.

NH GOP, dump this loser and vote for Sununu, a sensible conservative.

It doesn't matter what he supports if he can't get elected. I really don't understand you malcontents; you prefer to be out of power, with the evil Dems ruling the roost, rather than have a moderate to conservative gov't in power. There is no way in H--- you can sell that to me, or any other realistic conservative. I'll take a moderate GOP over the ultraleft Dems any day.....

*Supported confirming ultra-leftist Clinton judges (like Ruth Bader Ginsburg) that Smith tried to stop

Exactly what role does a congressman have on SCOTUS nominees?

On Smith's site, he proclaims "President Bush Endorses Smith for Re-election." When this is certainly overreaching. The RNC is the right arm of the Bush White House (whatever Bush wants, the RNC does. Period.) and Chairman Racicot has been clear that the RNC is completely neutral on the GOP New Hampshire senatorial primary.

Here is Smith's "proof":

Karl Rove, a senior adviser to President Bush, said yesterday afternoon the White House is solidly behind U.S. Sen. Bob Smith's re-election effort — whether or not fellow Republican Rep. John E. Sununu throws his hat into the ring.

"Our policy is to support incumbent Republicans," Rove said. "Sen. Smith is the incumbent Republican in this race, and we will be supporting him."

The Union Leader, July 7, 2001

In endorsing Smith Rove said, "Senator Smith is the incumbent Republican Senator in this race and we will be supporting him. The Senator has been enormously supportive of the President."

Nashua Telegraph, July 7, 2001

Are you now, or have you in the past, been a paid employee of Sununu?

Looks like some pretty extensive research you're using there...just curious.
