Who else are the RINOs going to vote for? The call themselves Republicans because they do not want to be Democrats for some reason or another. The RINOs will vote for the Republican nominee, whoever he is. We could put Attila the Hun up there and the RINOs would still vote for him. No principles. Conservatives are not as forgiving of past transgressions. We have the Deformed Party and the Constitution Party here in Iowa. We go with one of those or simply sit an election out.

This is where you and I part company. Your way would be easy for me, too and I've done it in the past. It will get us no where. It will take us backward, not forward.

I personally can't stand Ganske but I have to tell myself that if he wins the primary, I have to go in the voting booth, hold my nose and vote for him.

To do anything else, elects Harkin.

The Reformed party and the Constitution party is not as lily white as the driven snow, either.

We MUST fight our battles in the primary.

I agree with you...the RP and the CP have nothing upon which to build any challenge to Harkin...they are simply not in any way viable at this point in history.

But I think it is becoming less and less likely every day that Ganske will win the primary anyway...and therefore for Republicans to face a situation where there is no excitement and energy within the base for the critical task of defeating Commie Tommy.

The Deformed Party is made up of a bunch of nutjobs. The Constitution Party seems pretty good the overwhelming majority of the time. Unfortunately, they do not have the resources or the organization to be a force in state or national politics.

If Ganske wins, at least you know that, with the Constitution Party, there is at least one candidate who has actually read the Constitution.
