I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt, and would consider him a sincere supporter of Bill. My information would lead me to believe that Ganske treated Mr. Robinson like dirt when he was chairman of the Party. (Besides, Kayne has always been a conservative...he was state chairman for Phil Graham, and has a long record of standing true to the conservative cause.)
Is he trying to save face for the NRA?
Could be some element of that dynamic here...but it is pure speculation, lacking any proof otherwise.
