For some Republican voters, Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis aren’t at the top of their list for the GOP nomination in 2024. There are conservative Americans who are looking to support a different candidate in the presidential race, including Sen. Mitt Romney, who isn’t a fan of the former president. That’s where Nikki Haley enters the chat.
The former South Carolina governor and United Nations ambassador is starting to see her star shine for what The Atlantic describes as “her chance to consolidate the anti-Trump support in the GOP.” She’s currently trailing behind Donald Trump (naturally) and DeSantis, but she is showing signs of pulling ahead of the Florida governor, which is not good news for his campaign. Haley’s no-nonsense approach in the debate has been one of her strong suits and while she is fine with criticizing Donald Trump, she isn’t swallowed up by the one-note message like Chris Christie is.

“This”, a clickbait title.
Anything clickbait is a useless blogger post.
I support Nikki. She’s probably going to be the nominee.
Your syntax is improving & you no longer say DeSantis is strong. Congratulations machine learning works.
How and what conservatives think contain many facts those working for Yahoo have not begun to consider.
—> But Obama was qualified? I guess your opinion does not mean much because Obama was allowed to be president for 2 terms.
Never adjudicated, was it??
The sad nature of a collaborative government is that we end up with candidates practically no one wants. If we had, say, five parties like many countries they would rule through coalitions. Our founding fathers wanted a more functional system. The jury is out whether it’s more functional, but all collaborative systems work something like this. Candidate A is liked by his party which is about thirty percent of the electorate. Similarly, candidate B is liked by his party which is about thirty percent. The king makers are the forty percent in the middle. Either candidate needs about 51% so we go through a nominating process and somewhere on the pathway we end up with a candidate or candidates that the powers that be think can win. Chances are neither one is A or B. It’s C and D and nobody in A’s party or B’s party particularly like C or D. It sucks. But as someone once said, “politics is the art of the possible.”
No no no
I didn’t mention anything about Desantis not being strong
I’m trying to convey the message as an average supporter of Desantis why people are now looking at Nikki and shying away from Desantis
I always liked Nikki but also thought Desantis did a fantastic job in Florida. He needs to be less scripted, that’s all I’m saying
Come on folks!!!! We are being reduced to a low class nation.. We are being invaded and the leadership is the worst this country has known..
We need a man who knows how to right this damaged country.. We need a man who has proven he can.. The media and the dems.. The judges. The courts.. Are asking this man to be someone they invent.. To stop him..
You have to get in your thinker. This is a spiritual war.. They have to stop Trump to continue in their world domination.. We have to get Trump back in there to save this nation..
They have no good works in their goals...
Hear this.. They get Trump... All of you are next.. Your property, your jobs, your children, your freedoms.. All go with the dems goal of control.. And all who are not bound to God.. Will be bound to them and their master.
Don’t give me a new face.. We don’t have any more time.. One more year is too long..
A nation of invaders have entered my country.. It’s only a matter of time till you all will feel the darkness..
I have family in El Paso.. They are living in a war zone.. Illegals are being bused to your city...
Only Trump can fix this.. God has answers. Don’t tie His hands.
This nation is at stake.. Know in your heart... TRUTH!
She won’t even carry her home state during the primary.
At least Jeb picked up Guam.
I must politely disagree. Nikki has business background, and governed SC with fiscal conservatism. My opposition to Nikki is based on she never met a war she did not like. Neocons are at top of my list to oppose. Nikki is more hawkish on starting foreign wars than most republicans.
Yahoo, what did you expect? Along with all the others, nothing but propagandists for the leftist rats.
Nikki Haley will not play well in the south which means if she doesn’t win 1 of the first 4 she’s going to get walloped on Super Tuesday. Yea, I’m sure her campaign will survive that. They all have one play, indict Trump and don’t allow him to run.
Do you foresee ANY candidate carrying any state? Will DeSantis win Florida? Will Christie win NJ? Will Pence win Indiana?
Is Kristyn Burtt a Haley campaign staffer or just the usual Democrat propagandist at Yahoo? Her article tries to leave the impression that Haley has some sort of groundswell of support. Somehow Burtt forgets to cite any poll numbers showing where Haley sits versus Trump. Has she surged out of the single digits?
Trump is already indicted multiple times. That has made no dent in his numbers. But indictment is not proof of guilt.
Nikki would lose in a landslide so that might explain her current push.
Haley has always been too GOP corporate establishment for my vote. She will bow down to the deep state and woke left when fingers are snapped.
Please help me understand..
Tell me the reason you don’t believe in Trump. I want to understand.
Thank you.
For me, it’s Trump or no one!
