2) Americans love Trump because of Trump’s “failings.”

My short term memory isn't what it used to be but my long term memory is and I distinctly remember that members of the Fake News Media on both sides of the pond were saying the exact same thing about Reagan then that they are saying about Trump now. He was a racist and a sexist and a homophone and a Nazi and a this and a that and a the other thing.
