A Colorado baker who fought and won a years-long legal battle after refusing to make a wedding cake for a gay couple has been slapped with a similar lawsuit, this time for refusing to bake a transgender cake.
The story: In 2018, the U.S. Supreme Court cleared Jack Phillips, a devout Christian who owns Masterpiece Cakeshop in Lakewood, Colorado, of any wrongdoing after a same-sex couple sued him for denying them a wedding cake as it went against his religious precepts.
Now, Phillis is facing a similar lawsuit for refusing to bake a trans-themed cake in 2017.
Autumn Scardina, the transgender attorney who ordered the cake, first reported Phillips to the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, but the case was dismissed and Scardina has decided to take Phillips to court.

i would make a meat pie and deliver it as a transgender cake.
Unless and until our domestic enemies begin paying for their crimes against America, the baker, and Trump and family, will be bullied and pursued the rest of their lives.
What is a transgender cake?
Is that a cake that was assigned as a Vanilla cake at baking time but now identifies as Fruit cake?
What a self-righteous a-hole. Just leave the guy alone.
Instead of going to court, first try another bakery.
If there isn’t a tort for legal harassment, there should be.
Make the loser pay for the winners’ legal fees and any costs due to any and all negative publicity. Or the baker can make a pie instead of a cake thinking the couple wanted to change not only their sex, but the creation as well
Jack has the right to refuse.
This just kills me.
I recall arguing with my uber liberal brother back in 1996 about “civil marriage” for homosexuals. His point was “what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom” to which I replied that it was a small step towards homosexual marriage.
Fast forward to 2010 and his stripes had changed back to moderate. I reminded him of our arguement about homosexual marriage and asked his input. He said he realized that the homosexual agenda is all about small gradual steps and that the ultimate goal of the queer community was to legalize and institute sex with children and animals. “If it feels good, do it.” He said that was when he finally accepted there is a difference between “right and wrong” and “good and evil”.
Some lawyer is giving this freakish pervert some bad advice. SCOTUS has ruled on the matter.
So is a transgender cake a pie that thinks its a cake?
disbar the lawyer, fine him up the keister
scotus ruled on the same type of case already and he knows it
The Christian baker needs to get smarter.
Cakes for same sex marriages are specially made and cost $500,000 dollars each.He should have made that the going price.
I’m betting that the Transgender party is getting free legal services.
I’m sure that if Jack the baker heard that someone thought he was childish for believing in Jesus, he would probably pray for them, but because he’s confident about his Christian identity, I’m sure he wouldn’t lie awake at night tortured that someone disagrees with him and scheming to make them affirm his choice.
I just tried to post the linked article to Facebook but it was declined. Can’t have people knowing the truth, I guess.
This is just a ploy to bleed the poor guy into bankruptcy with legal costs.
THE LGBTQ crowd knows the Supreme Court has already ruled on it. But the poor guy has to get legal help every time, at cost.
It’s a cake with nuts baked into it near the bottom but you must ignore them.
The English rule is loser plaintiff pays court costs and both parties’ legal fees. I’m not sure if that applies to loser defendants, too.
