The current discussion of whether its appropriate to associate a virus with its place of origin has prompted Wikipedia to reconsider how it refers to the Spanish flu.
The story: Wikipedia editors are mulling over whether to rename the sites Spanish flu article the 1918 influenza pandemic. Most of them are opposed to the proposed change, saying the pandemic is most commonly known as the Spanish flu and changing the title of the article might lead to more confusion. Some even said that the move amounts to re-writing history.

Sure let’s change history so we can virtue-signal.
To be politically correct and all.
These people need to be publicly mocked and laughed at.
They’ll shut-up about this once they realize Spanish are only white folks.
ROTFL; better late than never?
Easy decision.
Does changing the name conform to progressive idiocy?
If yes, of course, change the name.
After all, we don’t need no stinkin’ history (says Winston Smith).
I’m sure Germany and Japan would like to change history. Japan actually does it, in their history textbooks. They routinely whitewash their behavior in China during WWII.
Wikipedia can probably help them out too.
They only care about changing it away from the Spanish Flu because the existence of the term ‘Spanish Flu’ lessens their moral authority to condemn anyone who says ‘Chinese Virus.’
I won’t give up protesting until the change “Russian Dressing” into something else. Like Naked Natasha!
The name is better. Idiots. We KNOW when the Spanish flu was, what is wrong with calling history what it is.
They have NOTHING better to do?
There is no discussion, just troublemaking by leftists. Follow the money trail to China.
Yup. Let’s rewrite history to help damage Trump.
I’m sure PDJT will just roll over and let them get away with it.
I can go along with this just so long as they always refer to China as a leftist Communist thuggish dictatorial crew of no good scum.
Can we change the name of Fort Bragg Fever, too?
This time in history will be regarded as one of the worst because of libtards and their socialism.
Isn’t it already the clap? Lol
LOL. No, there really is a rickettsial disease spread by ticks that was discovered at Fort Bragg.
Doesn’t Wikipedia have ties to Soros?
They’ll start naming them like Hurricanes.
