EXACTLY! That’s what this amounts to. We no longer need the Middle East. We have our oil thankyouverymuch. If the Yurps’ oil supply is threatened.....gosh, then maybe they should do something about it.

Its none of our concern.

Number of Troops sent to Iraq in 2003
“The U.S. -led coalition sent 177,194 troops into Iraq during the initial invasion phase, which lasted from 19 March to 1 May 2003. About 130,000 arrived from the U.S. alone, with about 45,000 British soldiers, 2,000 Australian soldiers, and 194 Polish soldiers.”

Number of US troops in Syria 2019 - number pulled from border area -
“The Pentagon previously had pulled away about 30 troops from the Turkish attack zone along the border. With an escalation of violence, a widening of the Turkish incursion and the prospect of more confusing conflict, all U.S. forces along the border will now follow that move.

“We have American forces likely caught between two opposing advancing armies and it’s a very untenable situation,” Esper said.

The Pentagon chief, who spoke in two TV interviews, did not say the approximately 1,000 U.S. troops in Syria are leaving the country entirely.”

I don’t think the Kurds are being protected much by 30 troops.
