Can former Vice President Joe Biden or Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., actually defeat President Trump in the 2020 presidential election? Democrats watching Trump’s Minneapolis rally Thursday night have to wonder.
President Trump wowed the crowd in blue-state Minnesota. And what a crowd it was; tens of thousands inside the arena chanting and cheering, while hundreds more stood outside hoping to get in. The energy in the room was extraordinary, especially considering that the president, buoyed by his fans, spoke for an exhausting hour and 45 minutes.
Forget the polls, forget the partisan impeachment inquiry; the enthusiasm of those Minnesota supporters reminds us how powerful Trump is on the campaign trail and how lackluster Democratic candidates look in comparison.

It’s an historic fact that incumbent presidents are hard to beat. Most especially if the economy is doing well, which it is.
A president has to be viewed as largely ineffective and incompetent to lose a re-election bid, ala Jimmy Carter.
Trump has neither of those handicaps, and will will handily next year.
Ineffective, incompetent, AND running against Ronald Reagan.
The House of Representatives, The Senate, learn about local judges and vote the conservatives in and liberals out, ANY local office .... WE are now the true electorate of National politics because of educating our selves and voting correctly in the locals.
If President Trump is about to unearth a scandal that includes Republican Senators... a 2/3 majority vote to convict, might not be out of reach for Schumer to come up with. A trial in the Senate could turn into another Kangaroo court. If Joe, Hillary and Obama weren’t past members of this club, they would already be in jail.

Let’s say impeachment did make it to the Senate floor. In that case can the Trump legal team demand that Harris, Booker, Warren, and Sanders recuse themselves on a vote since it is clearly a conflict of interest?
