Dems admit Trump helped GOP candidates sweep North Carolina special elections
Fox News ^ | September 10, 2019 | Gregg Re

In a major victory for both President Trump and national Republicans, North Carolina GOP state Sen. Dan Bishop was projected to win a fiercely contested special U.S. House election for the 9th District that was widely seen as a bellwether for the president's chances in the 2020 election.

And another Republican House candidate, Greg Murphy, decisively won a separate special election in North Carolina's more solidly GOP-leaning 3rd District earlier Tuesday evening -- frustrating Democrats who spent millions trying to make a splash in the state.

Even Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chairwoman Cheri Bustos acknowledged that the president contributed to Bishop's win, writing in a statement that "we fell an inch short tonight, but it took more than $6 million in outside Republican spending and a last-minute Trump rally" to seal Democratic candidate Dan McCready's fate in the 9th District.

The clean sweep heartened the president, who has long emphasized the national implications at stake. Trump unloaded on McCready in the fiery rally on Monday night, telling attendees that "to stop the far-left, you must vote in tomorrow's special election."

The Rats have learned to disguise their true nature in state and congressional races. This is the template for them to win and they’ve had a lot of success playing that game. Then they go to DC and vote exactly as Pelois and the DNC tell them.

They apparently spent $3 million more than Bishop’s campaign to no avail. The problem is that the GOPe is happy to lose to the Rats and hand them part of their socialist demands week in and week out.

Only President Trump put a stop to all of it. He wins where he goes but he can not cover hundreds of seats in 2020. We, the people will have to engage to save the Republic next year.

President Trump can not do this all himself. He’s pretty much done it in his first term.

Why would a Marine choose to be a Democratic candidate?

Ask Bob Mueller?

AGREED 100%.

IF the POTUS gets to seat another CONSTITUTIONALIST on the SCOTUS, I’ll be HAPPY with no other major goals attained. = Then our Republic will be secure against the FAR LEFT for a generation plus.

Personally, I’m an OPTIMIST & believe that the DIMocRAT Party is fast becoming a PERMANENT minority party, as THOUSANDS of Democrats LEAVE their party each month to be Independents.
(The SOLE thing that can save the DIMs from irrelevance is a PURGE of the FAR LEFT from the DP & I do NOT see that happening.)

Yours, TMN78247

What did the Dems spend? It was wasted. Better to spend 6 mil and at least get a W.

Hmmm. Trump has coattails. That should make the Dems VERY nervous going into 2020.

Bull Crap! It was the MSM who up until last night declared that the 9th was a national referendum on President Trump/Republicans and MAGA!

As I said, I’m an OPTIMIST & believe that the majority of voters will finally figure out that the swamp-dwellers wouldn’t spit on us “nobodies” if we caught on fire. = ALL that the average “public servant” wants is POWER, MONEY & being RE-ELECTED.

Fwiw, I once (whenI was still on AD) called a Senate office on behalf of one of my PFCs (whose family was evidently “victimized” by a US agency “policy change”) & was told that they only talk to people who “- - - - donate to the Senator’s campaign”.
