Rep. Adam Schiff joined MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Wednesday to discuss breaking news that Robert Mueller has agreed to testify before Congress in July.

MITCHELL: Congressman, is he going to go beyond the four corners of his report?SCHIFF: Well that is certainly what we're going to ask of him. We're going to be asking questions. He has to go to what's in the report, but we're going to be asking questions that are outside the report. The attorney general has made it clear that he feels completely free to discuss matters not in the report. In fact, the attorney general felt free to mischaracterize the report.

Meaning his answers (if Mueller answers the questions) will be ONLY his own personal opinion, has no (zero, nada, zip, zilch) relevance to anything. Then we get to witness if Mueller is an even more political hack than he is.
Just a giant waste of time, but if Dems are dead set on doing it so the Dems can have more national face time and keep the Russian hoax talking points alive, they can go ahead

We will certainly be asking him questions the answers to which we will re-frame in order to allow us to do what AG Barr stopped us from doing. Namely, we will de facto re-write the report. Oh, and we will be shutting down the microphones of the Republicans whenever they ask a question.
Mueller stumbled through a prepared statement at his final press conference or whatever that was.
It seems to me he wasn’t all that dialed in on the contents of his own report. I wonder if he even read it. He sure as hell didn’t write it.
The democrats tried to whole “obstruction” thing out and it got nowhere with the voters because its hard to picture obstructing an investigation that found no underlying crime.
But see, that is no more than a minor annoyance to our totalitarian friends. They can simply wave their magic wands, turn on their inner Orwell and pretend that there really was collusion, investigation be damned, report be damned, facts be damned.
He sounded like he had been asked to take a walk in Marcy Park.

Did you know from Day One that you were on a Fools Errand and that there was no collusion?
So why did you spend two years and 35 million dollars in this witch hunt?
The Democrat/Left is just playing for their whacked-out base; so that these politicians can say “we did everything we could to overturn the 2016 election” when the whacked-out base goes completely insane when Trump is re-elected in 2020, this time also winning the totally irrelevant “popular vote.”
I would love for Barr to fire a warning shot towards Mueller.
“I trust Bob will use good judgement in speaking only to the facts and conclusions as detailed in the report HE issued. If he strays or speculates on matters outside of those he was charged to investigate the DOJ will take action and respond accordingly. If he had something to say he had his chance to do it in the report.”
That was my observation as well. he had trouble reading prepared statements.
Barr did make a statement, almost exactly what you wrote. I think it was during his Alaska interview.
Yep. This gives them another three weeks of breathless media hype and speculation about how they got Trump now. Its worth millions in free campaign Trump bashing.

They are claiming that barr shutdown 7 mueller inspired investigations in his first 10 days as AG. They are trying to discredit barr. Although why confuses me, it’s not like barr is actually going to do anything more then lob a few bombs. He will not be taking any action, or holding anyone accountable.
Schiff-for-brains isn’t smart enough to think of questions outside the scope of the report. And Mueller won’t know the answers, because he didn’t write it. He just picked up his pay check.
