Agreed. It will make the base turn out more. They just need to put the nomination to a vote. If they back down, withdraw Kavanaugh’s nomination, they’re screwed.
I will. And that is a promise.
I know many do not believe this, but if the Republicans don’t come out like lions on the Democrats, they will lose Congress.
very good
It really all comes down to whether Kavanaugh is nominated or not.
I'm not going to turn over my country to Dem insanity.
I meant to say seated on the Supreme Court.
So no way I am going to pick up my marbles and storm home like a child. Sadly, there are more than I care to see on this board who are willing to throw up their hands and surrender.
Well, I vote in every election, primary and general, and have been doing so ever since I was 21 (back in those days one had to be 21 to vote). I will, of course, vote on November 6. In fact, I’d crawl on broken legs to vote on November 6, simply to vote AGAINST any and every Democrat that is on the ballot, no matter for which office they are running.
I not only plan to keep voting, but will consider financially supporting candidates for the first time in my life. I have a solid rep for my district but we are lurching toward purple and a senator that needs to go.
I honestly think Feinsteins motivations for releasing the letter were as much about her campaign as anything else. This is the first time she has to run in the new top two run off system. Republicans that I know in California wont vote for her. She needs to peal off enough of the left base from DeLeone to win. What better way to do this than sink Trumps Supreme Court nominee.
If I stayed home it would also send a message that I find Senator Jazz Hands (hat tip Dan Blackmon) and Senator I want to be the next first female presidents behavior acceptable as well as everyone they bussed in. If that behavior is rewarded there it will be coming to a movie theater, church or gas station near me soon.
I thought the actual quote is “If this be treason, make the most of it.”
Oh yeah, I will. If Kavanaugh is not confirmed, I will consider every Republican in the Senate a turncoat and a Demonrat in disguise. What’s the point of having a Senate majority if the most important post if our time can’t be given to a Constitutionalist?
Keep voting for the backstabbers then. You can’t vote your way out of this. War is coming.
First, Kavanaugh is NOT going to be pulled.
Second, even if he chose to withdraw, I’m still going go vote. It’s been a long time since I’ve voted for any democrat, but in the last few years, I’ve solidified that I will never even consider it again. The party is made up of complete scum who hate America, and that hatred flows down to every level.
If I don’t like the Republican, I leave that section blank.
I live in Maryland. The rat congressman is guaranteed to win. But, we need to keep our center right republican governor.
There’s a good man running for Senate, Tony Campbell, against Backbench Ben Cardin.
“No, it will turn out in fury!”
You may be correct if it is one of The Witches (Collins, Murcowski) whose vote costs the confirmation. Flake is irredeemable, he is currently actively auditioning auditioning for a MSNBC/CNN, but if one of The Witches puts it down then the base will be ablaze. If on the other hand, Grassley/McConnell screw this up any more enough voters will stay home in disgust to cost the GOP majorities in both houses.
The best outcome would be a narrow K victory or even a tie broken by Pence, then a furied electorate gives all the toss-up races in the Senate to the GOP, followed by Mitch tossing The Witches from the GOP caucus. Make them sleep in the communist beds they prefer.
The irony is that all of this maelstrom is for a milquetoast Bushie lawyer who would be accommodating to all the cultural rot tearing the country apart.
I won’t stay home and neither will anyone I know. The Dems need to lose in a landslide, regardless of what we think of the RINOs.
Ask Japan how Pearl Harbor worked out for them.
Nothing will stop me from voting. We owe it to Trump. He cant do it alone.”””
AMEN
The media really seems to believe it can control what people think. The more obstruction of Trump’s agenda we see, the more livid we become and more insistent on voting. It will have the opposite effect. In all areas where Trump is successful, our desire to vote increases. In all areas where Trump is deliberately thwarted, including by Republicans, our desire to vote increases.
I keep wondering what we would have had if Trump & Gen Patton had been in the same era.
