There was a study done by two PhD professors shortly after the election...looking at social media, fake news and what people could ‘remember’.

So they found that most people forget whatever they saw via social media within ten days (we aren’t talking about fifty or sixty percent....it closer to 90-percent). Another thing they found was that just having an ad or fake news piece pop up on your Facebook listing....didn’t mean that folks would click on it. The vast majority simply skipped the ‘click’.

Folks may hype up this social media messaging thing but I have doubts that it really amounted to anything. What Trump did do smartly...was skip the news media and just lay out his speeches via Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube. It’s the same way that you or I view the White House press briefings today...unfiltered, via YouTube.

This is like Mars Blackmon insisting that Michael Jordan's success is the result of his shoes.

>>The idea of democracy is that voters will compare the candidates and select the better on the merits of their respective campaigns. But what if the outcome reflects better use of technology, independent of the merits? In 2012, Democrats celebrated the Obama campaign’s smarter use technology that helped lead to victory. But in 2018, the shoe was on the other foot, as the Trump campaign is being hailed for nimbler use of technology, specifically the “test, learn, adapt” approach that exemplifies Agile management.

Waaaaaaaaa

Hitlery Rotten Clinton was not the better candidate and her appearance and the corrupt AF Democrats (elected and unelected) in government make that clearer than ever.

And this rag gives investment advice?

Trump runs things much better than people like Hillary. Perhaps that has something to do with his victory... and subsequent successes.

The idea of democracy is that voters will compare the candidates and select the better on the merits of their respective campaigns.

Who told you that?
The idea of democracy is who ever promises the largest amount of people the biggest amount of goodies gets the most votes!

The idea of our Constitutional Republic is that people will vote for the person that they believe will best represent their interest and the nations interest while running the Government.

So what percentage of U.S. facebook users actually voted for Trump? And, how do they account for people like me who do not use facebook or twitter?

"Trump 2016 campaign digital director Brad Parscale explained on 60 Minutes last year that the campaign “obsessively tested ad creative and messaging — up to 100,000 different versions per day of different ads. That involved “changing language, words, colors, changing things because certain people like a green button better than a blue button,” he explained, outlining the automated alterations that were made to spit out different versions of an ad. “Some people like the word ‘donate’ or ‘contribute.’"

File under "fluff". The dominant color was red, the motto was "MAGA", maybe 10% of the voters went deeper than that.

Our President is the finest, but I wouldn't want him leading a scrum.

"Sir, our tech debt..." "You're fired."

"We need time to tes..." "You're fired."

"Deliverabl..." "You're fired."

Agile is an IT framework. It’s all the rage in the IT world. I should print that article out and post it in our break room. I would hear heads exploding... lol

The only FB ad I remember is Trump and the Deplorables at the barricades to the background music of Le Miserables’ “Do you hear the people sing?” If it was an ad.
