Which state has tested “single-payer”?
The answer is none. But Vermont went full Obamacare and had just one insurer, California and Colorado talked about it but all three discovered it took the ENTIRE state budget to pay for government-payer healthcare. So you either DOUBLE state taxes or the only thing states pay for is medical care. No roads, bridges, libraries, state patrol, nothing.
Doubling state taxes will raise the revenue level, but not double, for one or two years but then revenue will decline as people exit the economy and/or the state.
