Schumer and VanHollen have not got a prayer to re-take the senate. Both are recognized as vicious partisans and the voters have had enough of that.

If the Senate is to be retaken it will be done by a patriotic American stance to do better for the coutry not the dead-end destructive socialist path the democrats are on.

At this point, what difference does it make.

One thing my wise old grandfather, long since gone would tell me, “Davy, Never say never”.

I can see the demodummies gaining control BECAUSE of the DO NOTHING republican electorate. Both Ryan and McConnell have been fighting and obstructing Trump at every turn, gleefully followed by their lapdogs. Unless the “Deplorables” can replace those losers with loyal representatives who WILL support Trump, the demodummies just MAY be drinking the victory champagne. Let’s hope they don’t.

Do the Dems really need to “win” the Senate, with RINOs like McCain, Grahmnesty, and Collins on the GOP side ready to sabotage any significant initiative by Trump?

Why not? The GOP sucks! They are waltzing into Midterms having done nothing but Never-Trumping and stealing a paycheck.

GOP: Fails to pass healthcare, fails to pass tax reform, attacks its own president and otherwise breaks every promise. Hell, they even talk impeachment. The result is a damaged brand and certain electoral defeat.

But. . . the democrats say: “we will show you idiot Republicans how to damage a brand. Abra ca dabra we propose and vigorously support universal healthcare in the form of socialized medicine!!!” Now top that suicie GOP.

The only way Schumer can accomplish a Senate takeover is if the Trump voters in those 10 states stay home. That’s why he set the DACA trap for the president, which sadly, worked perfectly. Pres. Trump fell for the flattery of Chuck and Nancy, infuriating his conservative base who requires that he fulfill his promise to build The Wall. This may be the fatal error of his presidency.

Dems taking the Senate might not be as far-fetched as it seems. Hate to see that happen, but out here in the hustings the Republican brand is losing it’s luster. The old stalwarts won’t vote Dem but they just might not vote. Trump’s brand was the draw in the last election and he’s not coming across as being consistent to what he campaigned on, either because he doesn’t have Republican support or because he has shifted in his election position [eg. DACA].

There are a lot of surprises between now and then.

I said, on January 20, that Trump had six months to decide if the GOP needed to be discarded and replaced. Since then, even I have become astonished at how useless and in fact oppositional to our goals they are.

Electing more Republicans, or worse, re-electing the ones we have will gain nothing. Ryan and McConnell have, IMO, sealed their fate.

The President cannot form a government with massive, bipartisan opposition in Congress. He needs his guys in there.

The GOP must be destroyed - and the good news is, it’s destroying itself.

That is a winning issue, and I'm surprised Trump has not proposed it yet.

Scott Adams says the DREAMers were never going to be deported by anybody so that Trump got a good deal on the border in exchange for not doing what no one was going to do. Comments?

It wouldn’t surprize me at all to see the Dems take the Senate. If the Senate continues its do-nothing dance, Republican voters will stay home on election day. What will the R Senate candidates campaign on? Given their current actions, they can’t campaign on gettig rid of ObamaCare. They can’t campaign on Tax cuts, because that issue willl either be resolved or bungled.
