Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., said Democrats might be resisting Republican efforts to get information about a dossier on President Donald Trump because they are worried it might contain falsehoods.
Democrats have claimed that Gowdy and other Republicans want to help the president by discrediting the dossier, according to Gowdy in an interview with The Daily Caller.
"I don't know why anyone — from (California Democratic Rep.) Adam Schiff, to Vanity Fair, to Rachel Maddow — would not be curious whether or not the world's premier law enforcement agency relied upon a dossier in connection with an investigation without vetting it," Gowdy said about the dossier, which was compiled by British spy Christopher Steele.
"For the life of me, I don't understand why they are focused on this unless they are fearful that the [FBI] did rely on a piece of fiction," Gowdy said in The Daily Caller.....

I think what they really are afraid of is that the truth will be found out. That TRUTH is that the dossier was a REWRITE of a dossier that was done during the DNC PRIMARY back between HILLARY and OBAMA. The 'scope' of the dossier was investigating the 'collusion' between HILLARY and the RUSSIANS.
I have absolutely no confidence at all in Mr. Gowdy. He’s all hat and no horse. His greatest achievement as a congressional investigator, has been to utterly fail to produce any coherent case against a criminal who had crimes so numerous, and so overt, that only by really trying could he avoid finding one. Trey Gowdy can go straight to hell, as far as I’m concerned, and if you pin your hopes to him, you can depend only on being disappointed.

Yes, Trey Gowdy has been a disappointment. He doesn’t want to make a real case against the dems because he’s plenty able to do it if he wanted to. I ignore him.

I believe Comey and McCain share equal responsibility for the creation of this work of fiction. Recently it was reported that there was an investigation being opened to discover who was responsible for the dossier. Have heard nothing else about it.
WSJ has nailed this to Comey’s hide.
