Never one to shy away from speaking his mind, Republican Gov. Chris Christie (N.J.) came out swinging Wednesday, publicly criticizing two members of his own party: President Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
During Christies rounds on cable news early Wednesday morning, MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski asked the governor whether he agreed with Trumps decision last week to pardon former Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was convicted of federal criminal contempt after disobeying a court order to stop targeting Latinos in his illegal alien sweeps.
My understanding has always been that one of the prerequisites you look for in giving a pardon is contrition for what you were convicted of, Christie said. I didnt see that in Sheriff Arpaio.
This is not one that I would have done, Christie added.
Christie, who appeared on MSNBCs Morning Joe primarily to discuss the federal governments handling of Hurricane Harvey, was even more brazen when addressing Cruzs recent remarks defending his vote against the $50 billion Hurricane Sandy relief bill in 2013. Cruz told MSNBCs Katy Tur on Monday that he voted against the relief package because two-thirds of the bill contained unrelated pork and expenses that had nothing to do with assistance for Sandy victims.
The worst thing about it and this is why politics has become so cynical in Washington is statements like that. He should just stand up and say, You know what, I was wrong,' Christie said. What was wrong was for Ted Cruz to exploit the disaster for political gain thats what he was doing.
When asked by co-host Joe Scarborough to describe Cruz in one word, Christie simply said, Crap.(continued)

Ted Cruz? Does he still exist?
Christie is not a good guy.
Cruz found some cameras during Harvey.
Christi is pouting over not having a WH office.
It is the last whimpers of a tub of lard looking for attention.
His political career is over. He may be angling for a career in the cable news business. He had an “audition” as a sports radio host on a NYC station earlier this summer. He did OK on the air but he’s so politically poisonous that nobody would hire him for that role.
Is anyone really surprised to learn that Christie is another Democrat in an R jersey?
Well, he doesn’t have the “gravity” of Chris Christy, but neither does Saturn.
Chris Christie: Doing what what Republicans do best, Eating their own. What a jerk.
You dont see the Dems/Leftist acting this way. They may hate one of their own, but they don’t make a public display of it. I guess their hate of US keeps them on course.
His poll numbers must be in the tank.
Rinos, rats and follywood entertainers, whose ratings are tanking, attack Trump to raise their ratings!
If there were a major hurricane in my state and I was a US Senator, I’d probably be on the television too, don’t you think?
What’s his problem? Is Christie still angry at not getting the Atty. Gen. position? I can understand Chris’ anger at how Trump humiliated him in public numerous times, but he knew Donald Trump’s character long before that happened. This is certainly the way to insure he won’t get any other offers. You can bet Ted Cruz won’t forget it.
Trump was very wise to keep Christie out of his Admin.
At least he gave the media a what-for more than once. Best he get out. His girth is not worth looking at in any high profile job.
It is the last whimpers of a tub of lard looking for attention.
Baah! Humbug!
Send his fat a$$ to the rendering plant for unwanted animals.
I heard him yesterday doing the same thing. RINO.
I heard he also swiped a donut from the Fox News Green Room
I’d be more worried about Heidi Cruz if I was him. She could blackball him in the financial services sector.
And that's why you're not POTUS, you fat freak.
Cruz told MSNBCs Katy Tur on Monday that he voted against the relief package because two-thirds of the bill contained unrelated pork and expenses that had nothing to do with assistance for Sandy victims.
It's called "principle", you fat freak. Something you lack. Did I mention you're not POTUS?
Shouldn’t Krispy Kreme be on Some ‘beech’, some where?
