After being embroiled in sexting scandals for years—most recently involving a minor—former congressman and New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner was also served divorce papers by his wife, Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin. The New York Post reports that Abedin has filed for divorce in the Manhattan Supreme Court.
Abedin has reportedly asked for the case to remain anonymous, and the filing is uncontested, so there will be no fights over custody of their son, 5-year-old Jordan. She had previously filed for separation in August, during Clinton's campaign, after it emerged that Weiner had exchanged lewd images—one that included Jordan in the frame.
On Friday, Weiner pleaded guilty to transferring obscene material to a minor, admitting he sent sexual messages to a 15-year-old high school student. The New York Times reports he will have to register as a sex offender and may face jail time as part of a plea deal. He will be sentenced on September 8. In court, Weiner said he has started mental health treatment. "I accept full responsibility for my conduct," he told a judge. "I have a sickness, but I do not have an excuse."
Huma must be pretty certain spousal privilege will never be an issue...
I am convinced Wiener was an arranged political marriage anyway. When you work for the Clintons, anything is possible.

Along those lines, I was wondering if Huma could be such a fool as to believe the Clintons will continue rigging things her way if they need a scapegoat (even if they are able to). Comey testified to Congress that Weiner had not been interviewed in the laptop files matter (yet the FBI supposedly drew conclusions about how the files got there that Weiner could turn upside down in under a minute — why do I think Comey was lying?). Now that Weiner has pled guilty in a deal, he should have a big motive to talk. Will Muehler fail to even have him questioned? Will be interesting to see this unfold.

Internet journalist George Webb thinks Weiner is a lot more central to Hillary's crimes than most people think. According to George, Hillary's crime circle used secure Blackberrys, and Weiner was involved in the technical aspects of setting up the Blackberry network, and is 99% certain the reason Huma has all those emails is because the Blackberrys are automatically set to sync to that server.
He needs to be offered a deal before he is killed in prison, although I don't think he will be safer outside either. Weiner has the evidence to bring down most of the top level criminals in the swamp.
