NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. On Friday night a group of Trump supporters came together in New Hartford for a "Deploraball," a play on the remark Hillary Clinton made on the campaign trail.
Clinton used the phrase to describe then nominee Donald Trump's supporters. After the election, a Clinton pollster said the comment was the single biggest moment when voters switched from undecided to Trump.
The "Deploraball" was a packed out night at Cavellos to mark President Trump's 100th day in office.
Peg Roberts of Utica said she couldn't be happier with the progress the Trump campaign has made so far.
"To keep our Nation sovereign because if we don't have borders and we don't have a sovereign nation we might not even bother having a nation," Roberts said.
However, not everyone thinks Trump's first 100 days as president is worth celebrating.
Outside of the event, protesters were silently voicing their concerns about the current administration.
"We are concerned for people refugees who are very scared for their fate under the current regime, for people who are about to lose their healthcare plan threaten by Donald Trump's desire to destroy everything that came before him," Jen Deweerth, a grassroots organizer said.
The event continued throughout the night as many waited for the clock to stroke at midnight marking President Trump's 100th day in office.
