Could you change your opinion of Trump? We ask Bay Area voters

Chaos and uncertainty have defined the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency, and it appears there is nothing more American these days than having a baked-in opinion about our brash, unpredictable tweeter-in-chief.

So, halfway through Trump’s first 100 days in office, we thought it was a good time to ask: Can you ever see yourself changing your mind about President Trump?

Never, said Claudia Corona, a 25-year-old hydrogeologist from Oakland. “I will continue to oppose him until he steps down or gets impeached,” she said. “I want nothing to do with this man. I am frankly ashamed to speak the same language and be of the same species.”

Not to be outdone, the president’s supporters are also doubling-down. “I like Trump more than in the beginning because I believe he’s working for us the people, not just like a politician worrying about his job,” said Rick Rogers, a La Honda resident who drives a truck and owns a construction equipment company....

"Chaos and uncertainty have defined the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency..."

These people live in a parallel universe, but occupy the same physical coordinates as the rest of us.

In my dreams I see a future in which we've solved the riddle of faster than light travel, which will allow humans to colonize multiple earthlike planets, and create whatever society suits them best. Let the misfits of our planet leave, and build their utopian hellholes elsewhere.

“Let the misfits of our planet leave, and build their utopian hellholes elsewhere.”

That won’t work; they won’t be satisfied until you submit. And then they’ll discover that they’re still not satisfied.

I don`t know. The lady who says she`s ashamed to speak the same language and be a member of the same species as Trump, sounds pretty intolerant to me.
Is she a species bigot? Aren`t all species equal or something like that? I kind of remember reading something like that in the PC manual. Same with the language comment. Why does Trump`s language matter? It sounds like she`s impugning speakers of other languages. Language bigotry if you ask me. Maybe her SJW friends need to have a talk with her.

We'll, they're in for a very long haul, if that's their position. A trip to Alpha Centaurus would be shorter, and more enjoyable.

...from the growing suspicions that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian officials to the president’s revised travel ban affecting several Muslim-majority countries to last weekend’s tweets accusing former President Barack Obama of a felony — wiretapping him during the campaign.

| Annie Sciacca, Tatiana Sanchez, Julia Prodia Sulek and Ethan Baron must know liberal 'protesters' caused the chaos. And there's NO uncertainty among conservatives. We back Trump. There also NO uncertainty among liberals - they hate Trump. The writers seem confused.

Also, from Clapper on up and down all have said Trump has NOT 'colluded with Russia' on anything.

The "Muslim Ban"? Over 85% of the worlds' Muslims are NOT affected by the extra vetting. It's no more a "Muslim ban' than barring Germans from coming to the United States during World War II was a "Christian Ban".

Then there's the wiretap - the New York Times reported on the wiretap in January...Do these people read the New York Times? The writers of this garbage might have checked their 'privilege' but they didn't check their closed-minded bias.

If the social order can just hold together long enough, I really believe that humans will eventually solve the riddle of faster than light travel. At the rate the material sciences are advancing, it could happen at any time. It wouldn’t surprise me at all, if we achieved that breakthrough by mid century, or before.

We meet, but in twenty to thirty years, we may well see humans embarking on the first missions to colonize other worlds. It’s been estimated that there are billions of habitable planets in our Galaxy, alone. There’s plenty of room for the disparate groups among us to go found their own ‘perfect’ homes.

We are for sure more divided everyday. An America without leftists would be a literal paradise to me.

I’m sure many leftists would love to live where everyone stays in perpetual anger and agrees with them about everything so why not encourage them to find and colonize their own planet now that this one is all spoken for.

One other option is for them to build, with the help of right wingers of course, an ocean bottom self sufficient city. Maybe they can do both.

Or one other way to say would be; I don’t care where they go as long as they go away.

Annie Sciacca, Tatiana Sanchez, Julia Prodia Sulek and Ethan Baron...

I see this more and more with the MSM. It takes a whole bevy of writers to churn out a single column. Hope the paper is getting these writers cheap.

Well, that’s not a bad idea, but I feel bad for some other planet somewhere. Couldn’t it be possible to convince them all to jump off the nearest cliff, instead? Tell them it’s some kind of group statement, and that it’s all going to happen at the summer solstice or something. They could even wear their pussy hats. We’d have to clean up the mess, of course, but we follow them around doing that anyway.
