Elizabeth Warren is readying for a presidential run in 2020, but it might be too late: News analysis

"It appears we're going to have an old folks' home."

That's the ever-outspoken Harry Reid, Nevada's retiring senior senator, talking about Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders being the unofficial early front-runners for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

Warren, at 67, is the youngest of the Big Three, and she's the only one who excites both establishment Democrats and progressive activists.

But is the senior senator from Massachusetts game for a presidential run? Some pundits believe she's already positioning herself for it.

Warren, the former guiding light of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, recently announced she's joining the Senate's Armed Services Committee. "As a member of the committee, I will focus on making sure Congress provides effective support and oversight of the Armed Forces, monitors threats to national security, and ensures the responsible use of military force around the globe," she said in a statement.

MSNBC commentator Lawrence O'Donnell, a former legislative aide to the late Democratic Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, noted that the Armed Services Committee will nicely fill out Warren's C.V. with needed foreign-policy experience and insisted the move "could be a first step in a presidential campaign."(continued)

The far left progressives promise the world with no way to pay for it.
As many have been placed out of work the chances of WARREN winning a run would be poor in 2020.

If Donald Trump is moderately successful, I would expect to see more businessmen who are non-politicians to run.

Politician/Lawyers are killing the country.

Trump tamped down whatever she brought to Hill’s campaign this year. It was funny to watch her become completely unglued. The Donald lives in her head rent free.

Don't forget Mrs Bill. She says she's in it for 2020.

Ms Warren missed the boat. This was her year if there would ever be such a time. All she had to do was come out strong against Hillary, but she chose to play it meek. Something unlike her. I suspect Liz had ‘been warned’ that Hillary wanted no opposition, so it’s possible she was threatened.
Bernie says he and his wife were often times threatened by Hillary’s people.

Chris Christie could have won in 2012, had he accepted early and ‘run’ with it, vs playing coy and nonchallant.
Chris’s political career may soon be ending. I don’t think he has a lot of friends on either side of the aisle.
I recall how Gov. Walker of Wisconsin asked Christie for support during his short lived presidential run. Christie never even responded! The bridges have been burnt.

Warren comes across as a mean, nasty screaming old whore! She must never be in any position of power. Devil in carnate!

We have just experienced what a ‘non person’ has done to our Country in the last 8 years...

We have 4 years to see what an ‘outsider’ businessman, world known Billionaire has to offer, and from what he has done since being President Elect, I would dare say there isn’t any politician or lawyer that will hold up to what President Trump will be doing for America and her people...

I very well doubt that ‘Indian Mouth Piece’ will have anything to make the American People even look her way let alone vote for her, and that includes any RAT that thinks about running...

The RAT party boomed out, there will be at least 30 years without that party even grooming someone to take the reins of Our Country...

Lizzie “Fauxcahontas Crockajawea” Warren has always reminded me of two stock characters right out of central casting. The bitter, angry ex-wife or the scolding schoolmarm.

They won’t be able to help themselves. After obama, they are determined to get a woman into the White House. Hillary is a mess and may not survive until 2020. Warren is hideous but if she’s all they’ve got, I’m guessing that they’ll go with her.

They’re not going to give up on the dream.
