This is just more muddying of the waters. Religious liberty is not at issue in any way. Trump has not called for anything that would restrict religious liberty. Religious liberty is not a license to commit treason or sedition. It is not an all-purpose justification for subversion. These Virginia Republicans are not only disloyal to the leader of their party, but severely muddled thinkers.
The All Dulles Area Muslim Society, aka The Adams Center, invited Virginia state Republicans to join their afternoon prayer services.
“We wanted to really address the anxiety that we know the Muslim community in our area has,” newly reelected Rep. Barbara Comstock said.
John Whitbeck, chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia, said he wanted to share a message of freedom.
“One of the things they need to hear from me is that the Virginia Republican party values religious liberty and we stand with them, and they’re part of this community too,” he said.
Comstock and Whitbeck said they believed that Trump had changed his position on a Muslim ban.
“I think he himself has changed that,” Comstock said. “What I am saying and what I have said is that that is not constitutional and it’s really un-American.”
Whitbeck also rejected any ban on Muslims entering the country.
“The Virginia Republican Party is the party of religious liberty. We don’t support banning Muslims in the United States of America,” he said.

I hope Trump didn’t awaken formerly sleeping dogs. Let’s be real; dealing with “sharia” is gonna be hard. The definition can be spun. But what Trump needs to do is:
1. End Muslim immigration (as in naturalizing new would-be American citizens who are Muslim) until Radical Islam ceases to be a global menace
2. Attack “hudud”; the savage literal eye-for-eye punishment and mentality
3. Defuse the bogus “Islamic terrorism because da Croosadez” business of the left
4. Inform Muslims that their hatred for Israel is wrong
5. Implore them that Muslim societies must change their ways

Mr. Whitbeck must keep in mind that this "religion" holds the United States Constitution inferior to the Koran! Make that the baseline of all interactions with this so called "religion." The group has religious freedom which is contingent upon their ability to hold the US Constitution as the law of the land and the Koran as subordinate to it. If there is no agreement to that - then there is a country that holds to a theocracy that they can emigrate to. Iran or Saudi Arabia come to mind.
Screw this. I have no interest in dialoguing with people whose religion is diametrically opposed to Western values.
