I’ve been wondering why the talking heads keep quoting Trump down by 5-6-7, and saying it’s all over, but the polls posted here on FR have Trump up by 1-2-3 or more. Difference in methods or just different polls from different parts of the country???

Both sets of data are true. There are plenty of polls showing Trump down in the range of numbers you quoted....likewise, there are, I think, 3 polls which currently show Trump at parity or up and in the case of Rasmussen, up by 3.

Obviously one of these sets of polls will be wrong wrong wrong......

Smoke and mirrors politics. Polls, as you know, don’t mean anything. They can be worded and interpreted more ways than thee are little pills. The public does not care unless hey personally are threatened. And to me it’s a joke as over 1.4 million conservatives people voted for Trump in the primaries this year than any primary in our history. It’s the old lib playbook: If you can’t fool them with the truth, baffle them with bull$hit.
